Kathleen Turner looks as lovely today as she did when she first captivated film audiences in 1981’s “Body Heat.” Co-starring alongside William Hurt, she played Matty Waker in one of the most seductive films in modern history.

The actress wore a trendy plaid blouse with a coordinating black vest, pants, and purse. She held a cane in her right hand. Turner’s hair was cut into a modern bob. She smiled warmly for the cameras.

Throughout her spectacular career, audiences came to know Turner for her sultry voice and commanding screen presence.

In 1984, she co-starred with Michael Douglas in “Romancing the Stone” and its sequel, 1985’s “Jewel of the Nile.” Their on-screen chemistry proved so strong that the pair reunited for the dark comedy “War of the Roses” in 1989.

Additionally, Turner voiced the iconic animated role of Jessica Rabbit in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” She also starred in the flashback film “Peggy Sue Got Married” with Nicolas Cage. She received an Oscar nomination for the role in 1986.

Kathleen Turner Was an Icon in a Recurring Role on ‘Friends’

In the 1990s, Kathleen Turner took on a recurring role as Charles Bing, Chandler Bing’s (Matthew Perry) father, on the TV series “Friends.” The show portrayed Charles as a glamorous Las Vegas drag performer, adding a memorable and comedic twist to the beloved series.

Turner shared her thoughts on playing the now-iconic television character with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” in 2019.

The actress revealed, “One of the co-creators of the series came to see me in a one-woman show I was doing in San Francisco. He came backstage and said, ‘You have to play Chandler’s dad.'”

“And I thought, ‘a woman, playing a man, playing a woman,'” she explained. “I haven’t done that. So I said ‘yes.'”

Kathleen Turner voices Benjamin in the Andy Serkis animated version of the George Orwell classic novel, “Animal Farm.” Per Variety, the scheduled release date for the film is May 1, 2026.
