Marcus Rosner Reveals ‘Impossible Task’ He Faced Joining ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’

Marcus Rosner is heating things up on “Sullivan’s Crossing” as Liam. The Hallmark hunk has opened up about the task he was faced with when joining the show as the man trying to break up Cal (Chad Michael Murray) and Maggie (Morgan Kohan).

‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Star Opens Up About Joining Show For Season 4

Unlike in his Hallmark films, Rosner plays a character on “Sullivan’s Crossing” that some fans may not like. Liam seems like a decent enough guy. However, the fact that Liam is causing problems for “Sullivan’s Crossing” it couple, Maggie and Cal, makes Liam kind of a bad guy in some fans’ eyes.

“Listen, if you are faced with trying to disrupt Chad Michael Murray’s love life, I don’t blame any fans for anything they might feel about that. Because he’s become a good buddy and both on screen and off, I think he’s a wonderful human,” Rosner expressed during an interview on New York Live.

The actor admitted that there was a task he had to endure when agreeing to play Liam. It had everything to do with being the guy trying to break up Cal and Maggie, while also trying to get “Sullivan’s Crossing” fans to like Liam even a little bit.

“It was an impossible task from the beginning. But just maybe hear Liam out, and give him a chance, and see what the whole story is. That would be my advice,” he suggested to “Sullivan’s Crossing” fans.

Marcus Rosner Reveals More About Liam on ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’

The actor also gave a little backstory on Liam, like how he and Maggie suddenly married years ago. Rosner explained that so far Cal has been pretty patient with Liam being around but that won’t last long.

Even though Liam claims he’s just there to end his marriage to Maggie, something they both thought had already happened, Rosner admitted the situation is murky at best.

Liam has another motive, but “Sullivan’s Crossing” fans will have to keep watching the show to find out what that is. Rosner hopes fans will watch with an open mind as this story unfolds on the hit drama based on the books of the same name.

“I think there’s a lot of interesting complexity being added to what is ultimately a love story between two people. And I think that with any great love story, there’s ghosts from the past that may or may not need resolving. And I think that makes it interesting. So, I hope fans agree,” he shared.

Rosner came into “Sullivan’s Crossing” in the final minutes of Season 3. Later, it was revealed that he would help fill a void left by OG cast member Scott Patterson, who opted not to return as Harry “Sully” Sullivan.

Patterson broke his silence on the topic to make it clear to fans that he chose to leave and that it was due to behind-the-scenes creative differences. In the show, Sully left town to go on a trip to Ireland with his girlfriend, Helen (Kate Vernon), but he is still talked about.

Alon with Rosner 80s actor Jonathan Silverman (Quincy), Fuad Ahmed (Amir), Colby Frost (Ben), and Emerson MacNeil (Tracy) are part of the new “Sullivan’s Crossing” Season 4 cast.

  1. It’s a little different without Scott Patterson’s Sully. He was a major character on that show and it’s a little off without him. I do hope the creative differences are worked out and he comes back for season 5 if the show is renewed for that.
