‘The Way to You’ Was Filmed in Canada, Although the Storyline Takes Place in New York
“The Way to You” was originally titled “Finding My Connection” when it was filmed in the fall of 2025, according to MadLib Casting. And while the movie’s plot takes place in New York, the filming location was in Canada, according to IMDb.
MadLib Casting notes that filming took place in Winnipeg, Canada, from October 8 to October 25. They cast all the background performers for the movie. (The filming location is confirmed by ACTRA.)
Interestingly, Tourism Winnipeg reported that the movie was originally going to air in June 2026, but now it’s releasing in February.
Writer Nicole Baxter shared on Instagram that she wrote the screenplay for this film. She wrote, “I’m beyond proud of my next Hallmark movie, “The Way to You,” which I could honestly talk about for days! Everyone did such an amazing job on it. But I’ll let it speak for itself. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did seeing it all come together.”

Kim Matula is Emma. She starred for five years on “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Hope Logan, before booking a major role on the series “UnREAL.” Her many credits also include Hallmark productions like “Ghosts of Christmas Always,” “The Finnish Line,” and “Checkin’ It Twice.”
Aaron O’Connell is Conrad. His career started by signing with Ford Models and moving to New York City, where he worked with magazines like GQ, Vanity Fair, and more, according to his Hallmark bio. His many Hallmark credits include works like “Junebug,” “12 Gifts of Christmas,” “Made for Each Other,” andn “With Love, Christmas.”

I really enjoyed this movie. It was sweet and cute and the characters were likeable and fun.
This was by far one of the very best Hallmark films I have seen in ages. The casting was brilliant and the story was written so well!! I totally loved it!!!
