‘A Melbourne Match’ Was Filmed in Australia
“A Melbourne Match” was filmed on location in Melbourne, Australia, IF.com reported. While it was filming, it was called “Her Aussie Romance.” The article noted that production began in Melbourne in late August, and the film would be distributed in Australia via Jaggi Entertainment, and internationally via Hallmark.
“I wrote this film as a way of showing off our gorgeous city,” Jansen told IF.
According to Jaggie Entertainment, the movie was also filmed in the Victoria region of Australia. “Production will take place across Melbourne and surrounds,” they wrote.
According to IMDb, some scenes were also filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The movie wrapped filming in late September. Jansen posted about her experience on Instagram, sharing that she first had the idea to write a rom-com set in her hometown of Melbourne nearly two years ago.

Meet the Cast
Hallmark’s synopsis reads: “Georgie, a travel writer, travels to Melbourne for an assignment where she meets Zach, an Australian ex-footballer who agrees to be her tour guide and shows her that there’s more to life than work.”
Mallory Jensen stars as Georgie. She’s well known and loved by Hallmark viewers for her wide variety of movies, such as “On the 12th Date of Christmas,” “Her Pen Pal,” “Francesca Quinn, PI,” and more. She’s also known for many other credits outside of Hallmark, like “Agents of SHIELD,” “This is Us,” and more.
Ryan Corr stars as Zach. His many credits include the lead role in “Kangaroo” (earning him a nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Film in the 2026 AACTA Awards), Andy in “Catching Dust,” “Limbo” for Australia’s ABC, Ser Harwin in “House of the Dragon,” and more.
