Actress Mallory Jansen just wrapped filming her latest Hallmark movie, and it’s her most meaningful yet. In a social media post on September 20, 2025, the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” alum revealed that she’s been in her native Australia, filming a movie that she wrote.
“Two years ago, I had an idea to write a rom-com set in my home town of Melbourne,” the “Paging Mr. Darcy” star wrote. “Hallmark put their trust in me. I jumped on as actor, writer, and executive producer. And now here we are, officially wrapped.”
Mallory Jansen Calls Aussie Co-Star Ryan Corr ‘Ridiculously Talented’
Captioning a photo of herself with popular Australian actor — and Hallmark newcomer — Ryan Corr, Jansen called him a “ridiculously talented leading man.”
Before thanking the production company and crew who helped to make the movie possible, Mallory wrote, “I’m so unbelievably grateful to everyone who helped bring my script to life. Our incredible Melbourne cast and crew who poured their hearts into this.”
In “My Aussie Romance,” according to Australia’s IF Magazine, Jansen will play Georgie, “a driven New York-based travel journalist who travels to Australia on assignment, only to find her meticulously planned trip upended by Zach (Corr), a former AFL star finding his footing beyond the football field whose easy-going charm and local knowledge encourage her to slow down and embrace life’s unexpected turns.”
Jansen, who also serves as an executive producer on the movie, told IF, “I wrote this film as a way of showing off our gorgeous city. It’s the perfect backdrop for Georgie’s journey, and I’m excited for audiences to experience the city I love, just the way we have while in production.”
Mallory Jansen’s Co-Star, Ryan Corr, is a Popular Australian Actor
Popular Australian podcaster Jess Rowe recently called Corr “one of Australia’s most acclaimed actors, known for his raw talent, versatility, and fearless performances across film, television, and theatre.”
Appearing on her podcast on September 16, he told her that it’s always “a vulnerable experience” to pull all of himself into a role and then wait to find out if audiences will like it.
“Imposter syndrome’s a real thing,” he said. “I’m friends with some of the best actors in the country, and each and every one of them — every time they do it — is like, ‘I don’t know if I can.'”
Jansen has appeared in Hallmark movies including 2025’s “The Royal We,” 2024’s “All I Need For Christmas,” and 2021’s “My Pen Pal.” She told her followers “My Aussie Romance” will premiere on Hallmark Channel in 2026.

Have watched Mallory Jansen on Hallmark but did not know her full acting credits. I’m a big fan. Watching her now on “Will Trent”. She is an amazing actress. Looking forward to what happens to her character as the series continues. Hope she makes more Hallmark movies.
