“Harry Potter” star and “Dancing With the Stars” alum Evanna Lynch is a married woman.
The 35-year-old rose to prominence to when she starred as Luna Lovegood in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” in 2007. She went on to play the iconic character throughout the rest of the film series.
After the “Harry Potter” films concluded, Lynch went on to compete on “Dancing With the Stars” season 27, partnering with Keo Motsepe. They finished in 3rd place out of 13 couples.
Now, the actress is excitedly moving forward with a new chapter in her life. Evanna Lynch couldn’t be happier to be a newlywed and is joyfully sharing her wedding photos with fans.
Evanna Lynch Absolutely Glows on Her Wedding Day
Irish actress Evanna Lynch is a happily married woman. She and her new husband, Denis Skinner, tied the knot at Wilton’s Music Hall in London on Friday, August 21. Now, she’s over the moon to share photos of the big event.
“After (technically) two proposals, #HarryPotter actor @EvannaLynch and Denis Skinner exchanged vows this weekend at Wilton’s Music Hall,” British Vogue shared in a new Instagram update, sharing several stunning photos from the special day.
“The bride’s first port of call when wedding planning? An astrologer. ‘Her thing was to avoid the solar eclipse,’ Lynch tells #BritishVogue,” the post continued. “They originally landed on 22 August because double digits are – to those in the know – angel numbers, spiritual checkpoints transmitted from the universe, but annoyingly, their venue was already booked on that day, so 21 August had to do. The First Proposal Ended in Disaster
Although Evanna Lynch and Denis Skinner had their perfect wedding day, the proposal went a bit awry.
“I totally knew he was going to propose,” Lynch shared with British Vogue. “It was 2023, and we had a big argument. It felt like a break-up argument. Like the, ‘our relationship is getting serious and I’m getting scared’ argument.”
The fight only grew, ending with Denis Skinner proposing. However, Evanna Lynch wasn’t having it. She noted that getting engaged at the end of a fight was “terrible,” and she wanted him to ask her properly.
Months later near the actress’ birthday, he asked again. This time, the couple drove to Lynch’s cousin’s home, where her partner had decorated the gorgeous nature area with fairy lights.
Relaxed, peaceful vibes also played a role in the special day. Evanna Lynch and Denis Skinner told British Vogue that they don’t feel comfortable in “anything too modern.”
“When we started the wedding planning process, I was a bit disparaging of it all,” the “Harry Potter” star admitted. “It’s so over the top. It’s so lavish. But, as we’ve gotten closer to it, I’ve realised how unique and special it is.”
