‘Harry Potter’ Star Reveals Staggering OnlyFans Earnings, More in a Year Than ‘My Entire Acting Career’

Actors are increasingly turning to OnlyFans to supplement their incomes, and one of them is a familiar face to fans of the “Harry Potter” film franchise.

Jessie Cave portrayed Hogwarts student Lavender Brown in the final three films in the mega-hit movie series.

In a recent interview, she opened up about how she was struggling financially — until deciding to give the spicy OnlyFans platform a go.

A Profitable Decision

Speaking with The Times, the 39-year-old British actress declares that joining OnlyFans was the smartest decision she’s ever made.

“I’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,” revealed Cave, who first began posting content on the platform in March 2025.

According to The Times, her subscribers pay $6 per month to access her content, while she earns more for one-time “paid-for messages” she’ll send to individual fans.

‘It’s Genuinely Saved Our Lives

Cave told The Times about the staggering amount of money she’s been making via OnlyFans, revealing that in just one day she brought in £15,000 (about UD$20K).

Having appeared in such TV series as “Industry” and “Black Mirror,” as well as onstage, Cave isn’t abandoning her acting career — although OnlyFans now affords her the opportunity to bring in an income while between acting jobs.

So far, the experience has far exceeded her expectations. “I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,” she explained. “But it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”

A Blessing and a Curse

While “Harry Potter” had brought her a level of fame she wouldn’t have otherwise experience, it also hindered opportunities to take on other employment between acting gigs.

“I couldn’t go and, say, work in a supermarket because I can’t afford the childcare, and also I don’t want people shouting ‘Harry Potter’ spells at me as I work at Tesco,” she explained.

“I could retrain but I can’t afford to do a degree,” she added. “I had a breakdown and I thought, that’s it with acting, I give up. But also we have no money.”

All About Hair

When she made her OnlyFans announcement last year, Cave explained that while OnlyFans is typically associated with spicy content, that wouldn’t be what she was pursuing.

“I am launching an OnlyFans, it’s not a sexual one,” she said while appearing on the “Before We Break Up Again” podcast, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

The focus of her content, she explained, was to cater to fans who appreciated her long, luxurious hair.

“It’s a fetish,” she said of specializing in “hair stuff” on the platfrom. “Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual,” she added.

In her interview with The Times, she elaborated. “My rule is the hair is the main character. That’s how I justify it. It’s literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It’s very, very niche.”

According to Cave, it’s the length of her hair that has really proven to be a draw. “I could trim it,” she added, “but the truth is, the weirder the better”

She Knows What Fans Are Thinking

While she’s been very clear that her content is entirely hair-related, she also understands why people might judge her.

“There is a stigma,” she admitted. “I didn’t really understand the risk of people thinking I’m doing porn. Yes, [OnlyFans] is largely porn. But there are cooking videos, tarot readings, personal training — it’s just all done with a sexy edge. It is about wanting some kind of gaze… I wear baggy T-shirts on stage, I’ve never posted a bikini shot, I wear huge glasses.”

All in all, she’s found her OnlyFans experience to be financially rewarding and personally empowering.

“For so long I’ve just been this quirky figure,” she said. “After having four kids and feeling invisible for so long that was really appealing to me.”
