Season 7 of the HGTV Hit Features New Teams and Competition

Season 7 of “Rock the Block” includes four teams competing to transform identical homes in Las Vegas. The team whose property receives the highest appraisal at the end of the season is declared the winner.

This season features a mix of HGTV stars and celebrities with home renovation experience. The teams include Mina Starsiak Hawk and Vernon Davis, Scott McGillivray and Brooke Hogan, Taniya Nayak and Drew Lachey, and Kim Wolfe and Chelsea Meissner.

Through the first three episodes, McGillivray and Hogan have won two challenges, including the premiere bedroom suite and Episode 3 kitchen design. Wolfe and Meissner secured a win in Episode 2 for their foyer and great room renovation.

‘Rock the Block’ Cast Shares Behind-the-Scenes Moments

While the competition remains focused on design and appraisal value, cast members have also shared behind-the-scenes moments from filming.

In a video posted by HGTV, Starsiak Hawk and Davis discussed what they believed to be a strategy used by Wolfe and Meissner, who previously competed on “Survivor.”

“We know who our biggest competition is. It’s Kim and Chelsea,” Davis said. “They’re quiet, and they’re smooth.”

Starsiak Hawk added, “I mean, they were on Survivor. They drank their own urine to live. That’s next-level competition.”

Wolfe later clarified the claim was not true.

“You know what’s funny about the about drinking the pee, is we made that up on Day 1,” Wolfe said. “We told them… ‘Have you ever had to drink your own urine?’ Which we did not do, but they really took that and ran with it.”

Meissner added, “I said, ‘Never do it twice, whatever you do.’”

Starsiak Hawk reacted to the reveal, saying, “Kim messes with me all the time! All the time!” while Davis laughed and added, “Oh my god!”

“Rock the Block” continues to air Mondays at 9/8c on HGTV, with episodes available to stream following broadcast.
