Ty Pennington Reveals His Creative Side in a New HGTV Interview
HGTV recently caught up with “Rock the Block” host Ty Pennington. They asked intriguing questions so audiences could get to know the carpenter a bit better.
“How well do you know Ty?” the network asked in an Instagram post. In the video, the “Trading Spaces” star answered questions about his personal life, including his height and age. He admitted that he used to be over six feet tall, but has lost a few inches over the years.
But what really caught fans’ attention was when Pennington dished on his hidden talent. He might be an incredibly talented carpenter, but he has a few other skills in his repertoire.
“What is one hidden talent that I have? Uh, what’s the word? I wouldn’t call it rap. I’m a singer,” the 61-year-old confessed. “That would probably be something that a lot of people don’t realize about me. I don’t necessarily sing well, but I write dumb songs.”
At the very start of the video, Ty sang a few notes, demonstrating his skill.
As the interview continued, Ty Pennington dished on his love for exploration. However, he also has a massive pet peeve when it comes to travel companions.
“Favorite vacation spot? Wow. I love a lot of places, but I just like travel,” the HGTV star continued. “I also hate traveling with people who already have a schedule, and they’re telling you what you’re going to do every day. Travel to me is exploring and discovering things you didn’t expect to find. That’s what I love, and that’s why I like traveling.”
