Daughter of Late Eric Dane to Make Acting Debut in Lifetime Movie Alongside Mom Rebecca Gayheart

Hollywood may have bid a sad goodbye to Eric Dane when he died from ALS in February 2026, yet his legacy is living on in his daughters, Billie Beatrice Dane and Georgia Dane, which the late actor shared with wife Rebecca Gayheart.

One of the couple’s daughters is officially entering the family business, with Georgia landing her first acting role in a made-for-TV movie arriving in September.

The 14-year-old will make her acting debut in Lifetime movie “The Ocean Between Them,” and she’ll be co-starring with someone close to her: her mom, Rebecca Gayheart.

Said to be inspired by actual events, “The Ocean Between Them” stars Gayheart as Joan, “a devoted mother whose world is upended when her daughter Miranda disappears at sea during a vacation in Belize,” per the movie’s description.

“After a heated argument sends Miranda (Jessica Lord, ‘Christmas in the Spotlight,’ ‘Find me in Paris’) out kayaking alone, an unexpected storm leaves her stranded at sea,” the description continues.

“As Miranda battles the elements to stay alive, Joan refuses to give up, launching a relentless search that tests her resolve and pushes her beyond her limits. Facing unimaginable odds, both women discover extraordinary strength and the unbreakable bond that connects them — even across the vast ocean.”

In addition to Gayheart and Lord, “Riverdale” alum Karl Walcott plays Luke, a local bartender who becomes one of Joan’s strongest allies in her search for Miranda.

Georgia portrays Ashley, the youngest daughter of Gayheart’s character.

Eric Dane’s Final Message to His Daughters

Prior to his passing, Dane appeared on Netflix‘s “Famous Last Words,” a groundbreaking series in which subjects are interviewed with the understanding that it won’t come out until after their deaths.

In his appearance, Dance shared some poignant last words for his daughters.

Addressing the camera, the actor speaks directly to the girls he’d soon be leaving behind.

“Billie and Georgia, these words are for you,” he began. “I tried. I stumbled sometimes, but I tried. Overall, we had a blast, didn’t we?”

He offered three key pieces of advice. “First, live now, right now in the present. It’s hard, but I learned to do that,” Dane said. “For years, I would wander off mentally, lost in my head for long chunks of time, wallowing in worry and self-pity, shame and doubt. I replayed decisions, second-guessed myself. ‘I shouldn’t have done this. I never should’ve done that.’ No more.”

He continued: “Second, fall in love. Not necessarily with a person, although I do recommend that as well. But fall in love with something. Find your passion, your joy. Find the thing that makes you wanna get up in the morning.”

Finally, he added, “Third, choose your friends wisely. Find your people and allow them to find you, and then give yourselves to them. The best of them will give back to you. No judgement. No conditions. No questions asked.”

He concluded with one last message. “Finally, fight with every ounce of your being and with dignity. When you face challenges, health or otherwise, fight,” Dane said. “Never give up. Fight until your last breath. This disease is slowly taking my body, but it will never take my spirit. I hope I’ve demonstrated that you can face anything. You can face the end of your days. You can face hell with dignity. Fight girls, and hold your heads high.”

Tearing up as he concluded, Dane added, “Billie and Georgia, you are my heart. You are my everything. Good night. I love you. Those are my last words.”
