Jude Law is marking a special occasion on Monday, December 29. The British actor is turning 53! Appearing in films like 1999’s “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and 2019’s “Captain Marvel” — not to mention the beloved festive flick, 2006’s “The Holiday” — Law has popped up in plenty of popular productions over the years. That’s why you might be wondering how he’s doing these days. Well, let’s take a peek at him over the past year.
On May 14, Law took the stage to speak during Netflix’s Upfront 2025 event in New York City.

Law opened up about aging while talking to British GQ in November 2024.
“There was a sense in me …, turning 50 — you can’t help but look back at the person you were, or the person you thought you might be,” he said.
The star added, “In the business I’m in, being cast as a good-looking young guy in my 20s, or being a heartthrob, or all those labels that are thrown at people in the public eye… I had a real connection to that sense of former glories.”
Law Wishes He Had Taken Advantage of His Looks
Getty“Many of Law’s early, career-defining performances hinged on an inescapable charm—Alfie’s solipsistic womanizer, lovers with secrets behind their dazzling smiles in ‘Closer’ and ‘The Holiday’—that hypnotized audiences and heroines alike,” according to DuJour.
“I didn’t feel like I really ever leaned into playing handsome, but there were roles that required an attractive energy,” Law explained to the publication. “I was trying to play against my looks in my early 20s, and now that I’m saggy and balding, I wish I had played it up.”
DuJour also noted: “He’s being at least somewhat facetious: A trailer for the 2020 HBO series ‘The New Pope,’ for example, shows a taut, chiseled Law striding slow-motion across a beach in a white Speedo.”
