Beloved Tom Holland Spotted in Orthopedic Boot Months After ‘Spider-Man’ On-Set Injury

Tom Holland stepped out this week with a new accessory that quickly caught fans’ attention and sparked concern. According to photos obtained by The Daily Mail, the actor, 29, was seen wearing an orthopedic boot after dining at the popular Beverly Hills restaurant Matsuhisa on Wednesday night.

The latest sighting comes months after Holland was reported injured while filming. He kept it simple in black trousers and a gray T-shirt, taking careful steps as he exited the restaurant.

At times, he seemed to put less weight on one foot, but he remained cheerful, smiling, and chatting easily with friends as he headed out.

In September, multiple reports, including Deadline and People, reported that Holland suffered a mild concussion while shooting “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in Glasgow, Scotland. Filming paused briefly as a precaution before he returned to the set.

It is not known whether the orthopedic boot is connected to that earlier setback.

Filming Update After On-Set Injury

The orthopedic boot also follows reports that Holland suffered a mild concussion while filming a stunt for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on Sept. 19 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Multiple outlets reported that production paused briefly out of caution. He is expected to resume filming within days. The Marvel sequel is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.

Holland previously expressed excitement about returning to the role of Peter Parker.

“Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal,” he told Flip Your Wig in July. “I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of Covid. We shot the entire film on stages.”

“Now, we’re really gonna lean into that old-school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we’re starting in Glasgow and we’re gonna use the streets of Glasgow to build this massive set-piece that we’re putting together,” he continued. “So it’s gonna feel like making Spider-Man 1 again.”

With “Spider-Man: Homecoming” premiering in 2017, Holland said filming the fourth installment feels refreshing.

“It’s funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow,” he shared in Sony’s behind-the-scenes montage on Instagram. “It’s also the first time we ever had fans on set day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them.”

He added, “We’ve got some familiar faces on set. I’m just going to do my best, hopefully get it right, no pressure.”

For now, Holland appears to be taking recovery in stride while keeping his focus on both his health and his future on screen.
