“I rock peas on my head, but don’t call me a pea head!”
Andy Milonakis left his stamp on comedy culture with his signature dry humor skits. Having started his career in 2005 with his eponymous MTV series, “The Andy Milonakis Show,” the comedian quickly developed his legacy of street sketches, where he’d interview people on the sidewalks of New York City, intertwining his comedic genius with his knack for creating lyrical jingles.
Milonakis started his career at the age of 29. Throughout the years, he’s appeared in the 2005 film “Waiting…,” the 2007 classic “Who’s Your Caddy?,” the 2012 flick “Mac & Devin Go to High School” and plenty more, according to his IMDb.
In addition to his comedy, the former MTV star has also left an impact on the music industry by writing and performing zany songs with lyrics that became so catchy, they’ve gone on to last for decades.
Having turned 50 years old on Jan. 30, here’s a list of some of Milonakis’ most memorable skits:
‘The Andy Milonakis Show’ Theme Song
Perhaps the most iconic comedic moment for Milonakis is his theme song for “The Andy Milonakis Show.” Its outlandish lyrics combined with its hip-hop beat made the tune outlast the show itself, with fans still talking about its hilarity to this day.
“I rock peas on my head, but don’t call me a pea head / Bees on my head, but don’t call me a bee head / Bruce Lee’s on my head, but don’t call me a Lee head / Now please excuse me, I’ve got to get my tree fed,” the song’s lyrics read.
Fans of Milonakis recently commented on an Instagram post of his theme song, saying the lyrics still ring in their heads. Many fans also joked about the comedian influencing them to become just as berserk as he made himself out to be.
“I still randomly sing this 😂😂,” wrote one.
“The fact that I remember all the words 😂,” said another.
“He’s the reason why I’m unhinged,” added a third.
Andy Milonakis & Lil Jon
During season 1, episode 1, of his MTV comedy show, Milonakis teamed up with rapper Lil Jon, who tore through the television to sit with the comedian at the kitchen table to eat a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. By the end of the skit, which has been reposted on Instagram, Milonakis and the rapper both jumped back into the TV for a Lil Jon music video, where Milonakis hilariously did a set of jumping jacks and danced alongside a group of models. While the skit was light in its humor, Milonakis’ originality stood out, even at the beginning of his career.
Andy Milonakis Gives Out Free Beer
During “The Andy Milonakis Show,” Milonakis fooled people walking on the street with his youthful looks by making them think he was illegally distributing alcohol. According to InTouch Weekly, Milonakis has a growth hormone deficiency, where he was born with genes that make him look and sound younger than his age.
In his skit, reposted on Instagram, Milonakis stood behind a makeshift lemonade stand, replacing the fruity beverage with real beer. With comical one-liners and his young looks, the comedian made many people immediately stop in their tracks.
Andy Milonakis & Random Street People
During his show, Milonakis was skillful in attracting an audience with his comedic timing. In one of his skits, reposted on Instagram, the comedian stopped random people in the street to ask them to use one word to describe him.
The unscripted interviews were comedy gold, with some people using words like “chubby,” “creamy” and “meat snacks” to describe the talented Milonakis.
Nowadays, Milonakis keeps his humor alive by sharing his thoughts on his Instagram, where he stitches videos together with a personal clip of himself making fun of the content.
