Original “Jackass” crew member Bam Margera won’t be at the premiere of the franchise’s new movie, “Jackass: Best and Last.” However, he was invited to it.
For personal reasons, Margera, 46, was fired from the previous MTV Productions film — 2022’s “Jackass Forever” — after only appearing in one sketch. While there was talk about him appearing in the new one, it didn’t happen.
The cast of the new movie — Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, and company — appeared to have extended an olive branch to the former professional skateboarder by finding a place for him at its premiere. But, according to TMZ, Margera has turned down the offer for a perfectly reasonable reason.
Bam Margera Has a ‘Prior Engagement’ on Premiere Night
GettyEntertainment news goliath TMZ says that the simple reason Bam Margera won’t be attending the “Jackass: Best and Last” premiere in the coming weeks is because he’s got a “prior engagement.”
The publication also admits that Margera isn’t quite ready for a reunion after previous fallouts with the likes of Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine. However, he is rooting for the movie to be a box office success, just like all of its predecessors have been.
Additionally, TMZ says that Margera will have some representation at the premiere in the form of his mother and father, April and Phil. The couple remain fan-favorites in the franchise.
It was reported by TMZ earlier this year that Margera had come to an arrangement that would allow “Jackass: Best and Last” to feature old and never-before-seen footage of him, so he will appear in the film — which will be a mix of newly shot stunts and unseen original footage — in some capacity. Fans are sure to enjoy seeing him at his craziest again.
