Kristin Cavallari is pressing pause and putting family first, and fans are getting a rare peek at those quiet moments.
The “Laguna Beach” alum, 38, shared a carousel of photos on Instagram showing low-key time spent with her kids and close family members. “Nothing on the to-do list but quality time 🩶,” Cavallari captioned the post, which quickly caught attention for its warmth and simplicity.
The carousel opens with a selfie of Cavallari and her daughter Saylor, 10, whose resemblance to her mom immediately stood out to followers. The two leaned in close, smiling softly, setting the tone for the rest of the post. Additional photos featured Cavallari’s sons, Camden, 13, and Jaxon, 11, along with her mother, Judith, capturing candid, everyday moments rather than polished snapshots.
Cavallari shares her three children with ex-husband Jay Cutler. The former couple welcomed Camden in 2012, married the following year, and later expanded their family with Jaxon in 2014 and Saylor in 2015. After nearly seven years of marriage, Cavallari and Cutler announced their split in April 2020.
Why Kristin Is Sharing More of Her Kids Now
For years, Cavallari was intentional about keeping her children off social media. That boundary has slowly shifted as her kids have gotten older and expressed interest in being included. According to People, Cavallari previously explained that her children had been asking for years to be posted, and she eventually felt comfortable easing into it as they matured.
She acknowledged that while she once hoped to wait until all three were older, that plan was not entirely realistic. Being able to share moments with her kids has allowed fans to see a fuller version of her life. “My kids are the biggest part of my life,” Cavallari said, adding that opening that door helps people understand she is “just a normal mom.”
That same mindset extends beyond Instagram. Cavallari has been candid about how motherhood shapes every decision she makes, even when it comes to her career and public image.
Letting Viewers See the Full Picture
Earlier this year, Cavallari took another step by allowing her kids to appear briefly on her E! docuseries “Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour.” Camden, Jaxon and Saylor made their reality TV debut during the show’s June premiere, appearing in scenes filmed at home in Nashville as Cavallari prepared for her podcast tour.
Cavallari has said the decision was intentional and limited. Per Self, she waited more than a decade to show her kids on TV because she wanted to protect their privacy and allow them to decide when and how they appeared publicly. She stressed that she would never do a show centered entirely on her family, but felt comfortable offering a glimpse now that they are older and asking to participate.
Sharing those moments, both on-screen and on social media, has allowed Cavallari to show what truly grounds her. As she previously put it, letting people see that side of her life shows who she really is at the end of the day, “a present mom” whose world revolves around her kids.
