Former “Laguna Beach” star Lo Bosworth opened up about why she had to miss the 20th anniversary press day, sharing that she is preparing for an upcoming surgery.

Lo Bosworth Opens Up About Medical Complications After Giving Birth

“No, I’m not at the Laguna press day. Not because I don’t want to be there,” Bosworth shared via social media on Friday, March 27. “I just had a baby and I have to get some placenta removed next week, surgically, that was accidentally left behind. Wishing everybody a great day!”

The MTV alum captioned her video, “I didn’t go!!!! But not bc I didn’t want to – I did! I live in NYC and I just had a babbbyyyy and I have to have a fragment of placenta removed in a few days. I wore my black and white outfit at home yesterday in solidarity lol.”

Bosworth—who was one of the original castmates of “Laguna Beach” and went on to star in the spinoff series, “The Hills”—became a new mom in January.

The California native gave birth to a baby girl, daughter Nelle, whom she shares with husband Dom Natale, earlier this year.

“She started the year by surprising us two weeks early, but really, she was right on time. Our teeny one is named for her Oma and already so loved,” she captioned her announcement post.

Lo Bosworth Receives Support

While Bosworth did not attend the press day with her former schoolmates, which was held in Los Angeles on Friday, she is reported to have participated in the anniversary special.

After explaining her reason behind sitting out the Friday festivities, the mom of one was flooded with support in the comments section.

“No explanation needed ❤️… us real fans know… feel better and keep enjoying your mommy life,” one follower wrote.

“Girl. You in postpartum recovery. I would think they understand!” another commented.

A third added, “Love you Lo! Warrior mama. Nothing more important than health and your angel baby!”

“You’re such a trooper! Retained placenta is a serious medical problem! How dare anyone question you girl! Take care of you and that baby!” yet another fan wrote.

The reunion special is led by Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, and Stephen Colletti. In addition to Bosworth, former castmates Trey Phillips, Talan Torriero, Christina Schuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser, are rumored to appear.

“The Reunion: Laguna Beach” is set to premiere on Friday, April 10, on The Roku Channel.
