Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is opening up about a difficult health update.
The “Jersey Shore” star, 38, revealed in a TikTok video shared on Friday, February 20, that she has been diagnosed with stage I cervical cancer.
She recorded the video from her car as she gave fans the news.
Snooki Opens Up About Her Diagnosis
The reality personality said doctors discovered the cancer following a biopsy after years of abnormal pap smear results.
“Obviously not the news that I was hoping for,” Snooki told fans in the video after confirming the diagnosis. “Also not the worst news.”
According to Snooki, she has been dealing with abnormal pap smears for several years, which ultimately led to further testing.
After undergoing a biopsy, doctors determined she has stage I cervical cancer — an early stage in which cancer is typically confined to the cervix.
Snooki added in the comments that she found out roughly two weeks ago.
Snooki Previously Had a Health Scare
The update follows what she previously described in late January as a cancer scare.
At the time, Snooki told followers she was undergoing additional medical testing after receiving concerning results.
Now, she has more clarity about what comes next.
Snooki shared that she has a PET scan scheduled as part of her treatment plan.
A PET scan is often used to determine whether cancer has spread beyond its original location.
Based on current recommendations, she said she will likely undergo a hysterectomy.
While processing the news, Snooki maintained a measured and realistic tone in her video, acknowledging the seriousness of the diagnosis while also expressing cautious optimism.
By describing it as “not the worst news,” she appeared to reference the early-stage nature of the cancer.
Stage I cervical cancer is generally considered highly treatable, particularly when detected early through routine screenings like pap smears.
Snooki’s experience underscores the importance of regular gynecological exams and follow-up testing when abnormalities arise.
Over the years, Snooki has been candid with fans about various aspects of her personal life, from motherhood to cosmetic procedures.
This latest health update marks one of her more serious disclosures, and it quickly prompted messages of support across social media.
