Britney Spears’ Sons Have Taken a Big Step to Be There for Her Amid Challenging Year: REPORT

A new report says Britney Spears‘ two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden Federline, have taken a major step to increase their presence in her life. On March 5, Page Six reported the boys, 19 and 20, who lived in Hawaii for a few years beginning in the summer of 2023, have relocated to California where the source says they live “close by.”

The news comes amid a year the source says has been filled with events that made the pop icon’s healing journey “much, much harder” as she fights to reclaim her life after a strict 13-year conservatorship in which she says she was mentally altered by the high amounts of lithium she was required to take around 2018 to 2019 amid her brave battle to break free of the controversial arrangement.

Page Six says Britney’s manager Cade Hudson told them, “Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.”

Britney Spears Bought Son Jayden a Flashy Car Last Year

In July 2025, Backgrid published shots of Jayden Federline at a Mercedes-Benz service center waiting his new car, which the outlet reported was a gift from Britney, to be serviced.

The outlet identified the car as a Mercedes SL 63 AMG+ with a price tag of $208,000.

Britney was spotted nearby in her own car, a black G-wagon, and the mother-son sighting prompted a warm response from fans. One commented, “Love it! I’m so glad they are together and she’s able to give him things like she should have been able to do as a mother the whole time.”

Britney Spears Spoke Out About Her Conservatorship Back in 2016

In a 2016 appearance on “The Jonathan Ross” show, the “I’m a Slave 4 U” hitmaker made some rare comments about her conservatorship. She said she was more in control of her music than ever before, having had a major role in the creative decision-making behind her August 2016 album “Glory.”

She told Ross it took some time to step into a more authoritative role regarding her music, for “just a lot of reasons,” adding, “I won’t get into the whole story.”

However, she did reveal, “I’m in a conservatorship. I felt like a lot of the things were planned for me to do. And you know, being told what to do. I was just like, ‘For this one, I wanna make it my baby and I wanna do it myself, and I was very strategic about the way that I did it. That’s why it means so much to me.”

On February 10, it was reported that Britney had sold the rights to her music catalog to publisher Primary Wave.
