Cardi B isn’t one to shy away from talking about her hair hygiene.
The rapper, 33, recently went live on Instagram and got honest about the current condition of her locks.
In a clip shared on X, the “Hello” rapper revealed she hasn’t washed her hair in about two to three months. She added that she intends to oil her scalp, give her hair a proper wash, and then braid it in the coming days.
“I probably got all types of roach eggs, mosquito eggs, everything in this,” Cardi joked while tapping her covered head.
Cardi B’s Hair Journey Over the Years
GettyCardi B has always been open about her hair journey. In 2021, the soon-to-be mother of four clapped back at comments criticizing her mane.
“I been posting pics of my hair journey for years and being mixed don’t mean your hair is always long and curly, that wasn’t my case,” Cardi wrote on Instagram. “Since I was a child I have problems with managing my hair and couple years ago I find different methods that work for me and look at my length now. They’ll try to make us believe our hair won’t grow this long it’s not true. A lot of hair products we used back then wasn’t good for our hair but that’s all we had to choose from also we couldn’t afford to get to the salon regularly, if at all.”
Back in 2022, the rapper revealed that she washes her hair with boiled onion water, claiming it helped kickstart her “healthy hair growth journey.”
Cardi is also known for wearing wigs. During her highly publicized civil assault trial in August, her wigs made headlines after she was questioned about her “real hair.”
“I’m telling you guys, when I say that my forehead is raw from changing all these wigs,” Cardi told reporters during the conclusion of her trial in September. “Raw, raw, raw, raw.”
