Cardi B reacts to “disrespectful” pregnancy rumors amid her legal battle with former security guard, Emani Ellis.
During her latest court appearance, the “Bodak Yellow” singer gave a blunt response to a reporter who asked her to confirm or deny the latest pregnancy rumors.
Cardi gave photographers the middle finger while she was entering the courthouse on Tuesday, September 2. But it doesn’t stop there.
Cardi B Blasts ‘Disrespectful’ Reporter
Later, Cardi confronted a reporter, who was asking her “disrespectful” questions about her rumored pregnancy. While making her way out of the courthouse, the rapper was bombarded with questions about the paternity of her rumored baby.
“Insiders are claiming that Offset is publicly bragging about getting you pregnant for the fourth time. Do you foresee any fraternity issues with [Cardi’s boyfriend] Stefon Diggs?” the reporter can be heard asking in a video shared by TMZ.
The rapper was visibly upset upon hearing this and appeared to grab a pen from someone. She then threw it in the man’s direction.
“Stop disrespecting me,” Cardi blasted the reporter. “Don’t disrespect me.”
In response, the reporter yelled back, “I still love you even though you just threw some stuff at me.”
Cardi clapped back, “I don’t care. You’re disrespectful, don’t do that. Do you see women asking those type of questions to me? Why do you feel, as a man, [that] you get to ask me those type of questions?”
Before getting into her car, Cardi added, “Act like you have some manners and your mama taught you [to] respect women.”
Fans Rally Behind Cardi B
Fans were quick to rally behind Cardi, who is currently facing a lawsuit from a former security guard accusing her of assault while pregnant with her first child in 2018.
One fan wrote on Instagram, “That was a clear attempt to rage-bait her. Don’t get it twisted.”
Another backed her up, “I mean, she’s not wrong! Have some manners!”
A fan also pointed out, “Respect the person, personal and private life. What does her pregnancy have to do with her case?”
On the other hand, some criticized Cardi, suggesting her behavior might spark another legal charge.
Someone wrote, “Throwing things at the reporter, isn’t that why she’s in court?”
Another assumed, “I believe it’s just her thinking that because she is rich and famous that she can do whatever she wants. She must want to catch extra charges.”
Someone also joked, “Not coming from court picking up new charges,” while another chimed in, “Mind you, she’s leaving the courthouse for assault.”
On Tuesday, September 2, Cardi was found not liable for assault and battery against Ellis, PEOPLE reported.
