SEE: Jelly Roll Is Unrecognizable After Shaving His Beard For the First Time in a Decade

Jelly Roll looks like a totally different person after doing away with his signature beard for a fresh new look. The “Son of a Sinner” crooner debuted the new look in an Instagram video on November 20, 2025.

The 40-year-old told his fans in the clip, “What’s up, y’all? By now, you have probably figured out that I look like a Ninja Turtle. This is crazy.”

He then went on to talk about his trademark beard, saying, “One of the reasons I even started growing a beard was because I was so obese.” He then gestured to his face before explaining, “It was just easier to cover up what was happening here, you know?”

He then switched gears, announcing he was going to tell fans about “the craziest thing that’s ever happened in my life.” He went on, “When I was in Australia, I woke up and we were nominated for three Grammy nominations, y’all. Three! Dude!”

Jelly Roll revealed that when he was nominated for “Best New Artist” in 2024, he thought to himself, “This is the only time I’ll ever be at the Grammys.” He then went into detail about why the Grammys mean so much to him, saying, “I’m gonna tell you the real truth. There’s not an artist in the world that didn’t grow up watching the Grammys when they were a kid, and walk in their bedrooms afterwards and rehearse their speeches.”

The father of two then thanked God for his achievements, saying, “He brought me here with the right kind of message. When I look at these nominations, all I see is God.”
