Jimmy McMahan, a rapper and influencer, has died. McMahan better known by his stage name Whitefolkz, documented his life in Memphis, and the news of his death was shared by local media on January 19. He died in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Saratoga Road and Millington Road in Millington, People reports.

After the news of McMahan passing, his loving family paid tribute. McMahan’s sister-in-law, Tonya McMahan, shared a tribute on Facebook on January 20. She posted several photos and videos of the late McMahan and shared her thoughts in the caption.
“To know my brother in law was an honor! Never a dull moment, my stomach and ribs would hurt for days after spending a day with him!,” Tonya wrote. “His heart was so big no matter who you were. You will always be remembered for the true one. All the amazing memories with you will last forever! Jimmy Mcmahan @highlight. I will always know the real you the BoBo!!”
Fans and friends reacted to the post. “Nooo I loved this guy I had would never thought yall knew him much less was related I’m sorry rip wf,” a comment reads. “OMG!!! This breaks my heart. So sorry for the loss of your precious brother. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten,” another person shared.

Family Asks for Finanical Support
McMahan’s family sarted a GoFundMe page to ask for support to help cover his funeral costs and to help support them “during this incredibly difficult time.” Their initial goal is $11,000.
“Tonight, January 19, 2026, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. My brother, Whitefolkz, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident,” the page reads. “He was taken from us far too soon, and our hearts are broken. Whitefolkz was more than a brother—he was a son, a friend, and a light to everyone who knew him. His laughter, loyalty, and love will never be forgotten. He lived with passion and left a lasting impression on all our lives.”
With over 120,000 followers on Instagram, McMahan was popular in his local community, and on his first Instagram post, which is pinned, fans flooded the comments with their condolences. He will be missed by many.
