Jack Osbourne Praises Yungblud for Moving Concert Tribute to His Father Ozzy: ‘Keeping the Legacy Alive’

It has been just over a month since the death of legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, and the world is still mourning the loss of the Prince of Darkness. At 64, the rock icon’s passing left a void in the music world that continues to resonate.

On the opening night of his U.S. concert tour, Yungblud delivered a raw and heartfelt tribute to his late friend, performing a powerful cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes.” Before the song began, he stopped the show to call for a moment of reflection.

“Could we have a moment right now for Mr. Ozzy fing Osbourne?” he asked the crowd, before adding, “And can we make a vow that his legacy will never fing die? Because that motherfer saved my life so many times, I can’t even fing count.”


Fighting Back Tears on Stage

Yungblud, 28, struggled to hold back tears during the performance, pausing several times as fans in attendance cheered him on. Concertgoers described the moment as deeply emotional, with the crowd loudly voicing support for the young musician and his tribute to Osbourne.

The performance was especially meaningful given their friendship. In 2022, Osbourne made a cameo in Yungblud’s music video for “The Funeral,” cementing a bond that carried into the final chapter of the rock legend’s career.

Yungblud also joined Osbourne for his last concert in Birmingham on July 5, just two weeks before the singer’s death from cardiac arrest.


Jack Osbourne Applauds Yungblud’s Tribute

Osbourne’s son Jack was at the concert for the tour kickoff, where he watched Yungblud perform the moving cover. After the show, he shared a selfie with the singer on Instagram along with a clip of the performance.

“Went to @yungblud’s first stop on his North American Tour last night,” Jack captioned the post. “Thanks for keeping the legacy alive ✌️.”

The comments section quickly filled with emotional reactions from fans, one writing, “Doing exactly what Ozzy told him to do next: Conquer America. Love to see it.” Another added, “A beautiful voice singing a beautiful song. Ozzy lives on forever through music.”
