‘We Are Ready to Talk’: Savannah Guthrie Addresses Alleged Ransom Notes

Savannah Guthrie and her siblings, Annie and Camron Guthrie, addressed the public for the first time since their mother’s disappearance. The “Today” host revealed that the family is aware of the alleged ransom notes circulating, saying, “We are ready to talk.”

Savannah Guthrie Addresses Alleged Ransom Notes

Nancy Guthrie’s children shared an emotional video to social media on Wednesday, February 4, in which they addressed the alleged ransom notes sent to media outlets.

“We too have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media,” Savannah said. “As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk.”

She continued, “We live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us.”

TMZ Received an Alleged Ransom Note

One day prior to Savannah’s heart-wrenching message, TMZ reportedly received an “unverified ransom note” from an alleged kidnapper.

“So we got something in our email that looks like — it’s written like a ransom note — for Savannah Guthrie’s mother,” Harvey Levin said in a video shared via Instagram on Tuesday.

Levin’s TMZ Live co-host Charles Latibeaudiere revealed that he alleged captors demanded “specific requests for certain amounts of money, bitcoin.”

According to the outlet, the note attempted to confirm its legitimacy by noting details such as Guthrie’s clothing and “damage to the house.”

Levin explained that they had turned over the ransom note to authorities, who later released a statement acknowledging the “reports circulating about possible ransom note(s).”

“We are taking all tips and leads very seriously,” the statement read. “Anything that comes in, goes directly to our detectives who are coordinating with the FBI.”

Another alleged ransom note was received on Wednesday by the local Tuscon TV station, KOLD.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the disappearance on Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen on Saturday night by her daughter, Annie Guthrie.

As of Wednesday morning, Sheriff Nanos revealed “investigators have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case.”

“Detectives continue to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Mrs. Guthrie,” he added. “Detectives are working closely with the Guthrie family. While we appreciate the public’s concern, the sharing of unverified accusations or false information is irresponsible and does not assist the investigation.”
