One of the biggest unanswered questions from “The Valley” Season 3 reunion finally has an answer.
During Peacock’s extended, uncensored version of the reunion, Lala Kent opened up for the first time about what caused her longtime friendship with Scheana Shay to unravel. After months of speculation, Kent revealed the fallout wasn’t sparked by one explosive confrontation, but by a private conversation that spread far beyond what she ever intended.
Host Andy Cohen addressed the tension head-on, asking Kent what had happened between the former friends after viewers watched their strained relationship play out throughout the season.
Rather than deflecting, Kent admitted she regretted one specific decision.
“I did something that … my heart was in the right place, but I shouldn’t have talked about it,” she said.
Lala Kent Says One Private Conversation Started the Fallout
Kent explained that she was referring to information Scheana had previously shared in her 2025 memoir, “My Good Side,” about husband Brock Davies having a “brief affair” during her pregnancy in 2020.
According to Kent, she discussed that information with her friend and trainer Jenna Willis while trying to explain Scheana’s behavior toward her at the time. She insisted the conversation was meant to stay private.
However, Kent said Jenna later repeated what she’d been told to Zack Wickham, allowing the information to spread beyond the original conversation.
Realizing what had happened, Kent said she immediately contacted Scheana herself rather than letting her hear it from someone else.
“Fast-forward, I asked her, ‘Please don’t take this to the streets. Let’s work this out between us,'” Kent recalled through tears. “And she kept talking about it. My heart is so f—ing broken.”
The emotional exchange marked the first time Kent publicly explained the incident that ultimately fractured one of Bravo’s longest-running friendships.
Lala Says She Still Hopes They Can Repair Their Friendship
Later in the reunion, Andy Cohen asked Kent when she and Scheana had last spoken.
Kent revealed it had been about a year.
Seeing how emotional she became while discussing the friendship, Cohen remarked that it sounded like she missed her former friend. Without directly agreeing or disagreeing, Kent responded, “I don’t recognize her right now.”
Castmate Michelle Saniei weighed in, saying she believed both women were deeply hurt and simply needed time before they could repair their relationship.
Cohen echoed that sentiment, telling Kent he hoped the two would eventually find their way back to each other.
“I do too,” Kent replied. “Thank you for letting me cry. I hope it’s the only one of the day.”
Although Kent acknowledged she has experienced tension with several former “Vanderpump Rules” castmates over the years, she also reflected on the friendships reality television has given her, noting that many of the people she met through filming became like family.
