“MomTok” is getting a fresh West Coast twist — and it’s bringing a new, dynamic energy to “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
Hulu has officially announced the cast for “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,” a new spinoff designed to build on the viral success of the original series. With a mix of influencer moms, big personalities and complicated friendships, the show is already shaping up to be anything but quiet.
A New Zip Code, Same Explosive Energy
GettyThe original “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” became a breakout hit for its unfiltered look at friendship, faith and the pressure of curated online lives. Now, that same formula is heading to Orange County.
According to the show’s premise, secrets won’t stay hidden for long. Friendships will be tested, and the polished personas fans see on social media are expected to crack under real-life pressure.
In other words, the stakes are just as high — just with a sunnier backdrop.
Bobbi Althoff: From Podcast to Cast Member
Leading the charge is viral podcast host Bobbi Althoff, known for her signature straightfaced humor and unpredictable interview style.
Althoff enters the series with her own storyline already in motion. In recent months, she’s been open about facing criticism tied to her divorce and parenting choices. Rather than shy away, she addressed the backlash directly, continuing to shape her narrative on her own terms.
At the same time, she’s become more intentional about what she shares publicly. Her relationship with basketball player Tyler Hawkins, for example, remains largely off-camera — a boundary she’s made clear while still describing the relationship as all she wants.
A Cast Built From the Influencer World
Althoff will have company as she navigates the Orange County social scene. She’s joined by a lineup pulled straight from the influencer space.
Aspyn Ovard and Avery Woods bring established audiences and lifestyle content experience. Meanwhile, Salomé Andrea offers a family-focused perspective, and McCall DaPron adds an athletic edge, drawing on her past as a Division I athlete.
The cast also includes Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease and Madison Bontempo, each bringing their own unique mix of motherhood, entrepreneurship and online presence.
Together, they form a dynamic group ready to explore the realities behind the highlight reels.
What’s Next For ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’
Production on season 5 of Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” will continue following a weeks-long hiatus. The pause began when cast member Taylor Frankie Paul became involved in an open domestic assault investigation with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, which included a leaked video of Paul reportedly throwing chairs at Mortensen with a child present. Hulu has now announced the official cast list for the resumed filming.
PEOPLE confirmed that neither Paul nor Mortensen will be filmed when production restarts, although a source close to Paul noted that she “has the option to return” to the reality show at a later date.
The upcoming series is set to premiere later this year on Hulu, with availability extending to bundle subscribers on Hulu via Disney+.
As anticipation builds, the expansion signals just how far the “MomTok” phenomenon has come. What started as a niche online community has evolved into a full-fledged reality TV universe. With new faces, fresh dynamics and plenty of unresolved tension, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” is poised to deliver another compelling chapter — one that proves the drama doesn’t stay contained to one city.
