‘Storage Wars’ To Pay Tribute To Beloved Darrell Sheets Following His Tragic Passing

After the tragic passing of longtime “Storage Wars” fan favorite Darrell Sheets, A&E has announced they are playing a special tribute during this weekend’s new episode. This will give viewers a chance to look back at one of the show’s biggest personalities.

This tribute is set to air during the Saturday, April 25 episode, which is currently airing its 17th season. While Sheets doesn’t appear in this current season, the network will include an in-memoriam card honoring him during the new episode.

A Tribute to Sheets

According to TMZ, A&E will end the upcoming episode of “Storage Wars” with a tribute to Sheets. It will give the network a chance to show the impact Sheets had on the show over the years.

The tribute comes just days after news of his death shocked fans and former castmates alike.

A&E also plans on airing a “Storage Wars” marathon leading up to the new episode. This marathon will consist of episodes highlighting some of Sheets’ most iconic moments from the show over the years. The marathon will air from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET.

Sheets, also known as “The Gambler” to fans, was known for making those bold bids on the show. He also seemed to have an instinct for finding some pretty valuable items in the abandoned storage units. His larger-than-life personality quickly made him one of the standout stars of the series.

Shock & Sadness Surround His Death

Sheets’ death came as a shock to fans. Authorities responded to his Arizona home earlier this week after they received a phone call regarding an unresponsive person. Officials would later confirm that Sheets died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The news is especially shocking since Sheets was seen smiling with a fan just hours before his death. The image, which TMZ shared, has been circulated widely online.

The contrast between that photo and the tragic news of his death makes it even harder to process the loss of the longtime reality TV star.

Life After ‘Storage Wars’

While “Storage Wars” and A&E plan to do a tribute for Sheets this weekend, he actually stepped away from the show back in 2023. He appeared on the series for over a decade.

During his time on the show, he became a main figure, often appearing alongside his son, Brandon Sheets. Together, they helped shape the dynamic that made the show a hit for A&E.

Since leaving the show, Sheets relocated to Lake Havasu, Arizona. He was focused on his resale business, Havasu Show Me Your Junk. While Sheets did step out of the spotlight, his influence on the show remained undeniable.

His time on the show coincided with the show’s rise in popularity. His fearless approach to bidding often led to some of the show’s most memorable finds.
