Is ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Returning to Hulu?

Fans have waited for news about “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” Earlier this month, TMZ reported that season 5 of the series was paused. The decision was made after a fight between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

The altercation also affected her season of “The Bachelorette.” ABC decided not to air her season, which was supposed to premiere on Sunday, March 22.

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” season 5 is currently on pause.

On Wednesday, March 25, TMZ confirmed that season 5 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is still on hold. Production began earlier this year, but it was shut down weeks ago.

So far, there hasn’t been an update on whether production will resume. The Hulu series went on pause after a domestic incident in February involving Paul and Mortensen.

Authorities are investigating the matters. This means that production won’t get the clear until the investigation is complete. Even if the investigation ends, the show’s future remains uncertain.

An insider told the outlet that there’s also an investigation into “unspecified leveled accusations among the cast.” The show can’t move forward until ABC looks into any findings.

Even though “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is Hulu’s most successful original series, it might not air another season. Production might want to move away from the franchise and shift its focus elsewhere.

Paul has received increased scrutiny for her behavior. TikToker Ashley Clemons noticed the social media hate. She asked fans to go easy on Paul after she received comments for still supporting the reality star.

“I don’t know what’s going on, I don’t know the truth, I don’t know these people. What I do know is that I’m going to continue to pray for Taylor, to pray for her well-being, to pray that she gets whatever help she may need,” Clemons explained. “I am not going to bully somebody. I am not going to kick somebody that is already down.”

Paul reacted to Clemons’ post, as per The U.S. Sun. She revealed the one thing that’s kept her strong amid the hate. “Prayer is exactly what pulls us through; prayer is the only reason I’m still standing,” she wrote.

Aside from the recent comment, Paul continues to post tongue-in-cheek TikTok videos. Her last Instagram post is from March 13, in which she shared that her season “was extremely hard to do.” She reminded fans that the show they were about to watch wasn’t scripted; rather, it’s “the actual lives we are sharing.”
