Celebrity Guests Set to Appear on the Next Season of ‘Survivor’

It’s been nearly seven months since Jeff Probst revealed the identities of the 22 former “Survivor” players who would be returning to the jungle to battle it out on the competition series’ milestone 50th season.

Now, following Wednesday night’s (Dec. 17) finale of “Survivor 49,” the trailer for the hotly-anticipated “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” has officially arrived, revealing the season’s final two competitors, never-before-seen twists, and a number of special guest appearances from the show’s most prolific fans.

‘Survivor 50’ Trailer Opens on Returning ‘Old-School’ Castaways

The nearly three-minute trailer begins with a voiceover from three-time player Benjamin “Coach” Wade. Known for his grandstanding oratory skills, the “Dragon Slayer” kicks off the season with a quote from Magellan. “Life is for the bold, to seize the opportunity when it comes. Not those poor intrepid souls that stay close to home. But it is the person who goes out in the storm that reaps the high rewards.”

The so-called “storm” hits as longtime host Jeff Probst greets the record-breaking cast of 24 former castaways on the beaches of Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands to kick off the biggest “Survivor” season to date.

“We chose you to represent 25 years of the greatest adventure on television,” Probst tells the gathered cast. “It’s a big honor, and the only thing we want in exchange for giving you this spot…is everything.”

Amongst those vying for the milestone season’s grand prize are former players like Jenna Lewis, who began her “Survivor” journey on the reality competition series’ first-ever season all the way back in the summer of 2000, as well as Cirie Fields, a now-five-time player highly regarded as the greatest player to never win, who informs viewers that she’s back with hopes of finally settling “unfinished business.”

Savannah Louie & Rizo Velovic Confirmed for ‘Survivor 50’ Cast

While the trailer gives plenty of time over to hyping up the return of other old-school players like Colby Donaldson, Ozzy Lusth and Stephenie LaGrossa-Kendrick, it similarly confirmed the long-standing rumors that “Survivor 49” champion Savannah Louie was invited to return alongside her No. 1 ally and fourth-place finalist Rizo Velovic on the upcoming milestone season.

Savannah will be joined on “Survivor 50” by fellow winners Dee Valladares and Kyle Fraser, as well as other representatives of the series’ “new era” who are determined to take home the title of “Sole Survivor” this time around.

In the trailer, Season 47’s Quintavius “Q” Burdette addresses the audience, affirming his intention to walk away from the island a millionaire: “Make no mistake about it. I’m thinking about winning. I’m about to cancel everything that you can cancel. Your Christmas, your vacation, your doctor’s appointment.”

The trailer then transitions from reintroducing the castaways to addressing the unpredictable twists and turns that are sure to shake things up when “Survivor 50” hits CBS in February 2026. Particularly, the effects of the season’s “In the Hands of the Fans” voting – which allowed fans to cast their votes on everything from Buff colors to whether or not there will be a Final Four fire-making challenge – are discussed in the trailer by castaways like Ozzy and Season 48 finalist Kamilla Karthigesu.

MrBeast, Zac Brown & More Celebs Make ‘Survivor 50’ Cameos

Things took a jaw-dropping turn, however, when the teaser trailer revealed that “Survivor 50” will be influenced – both directly and indirectly – by a number of the show’s celebrity fans

Country singer Zac Brown kicks things off, pulling up to a vote in a boat, stunning the players with a massive fish slung over his shoulder. As the trailer continues we see a cameo from “Beast Games” creator and YouTuber extraordinaire MrBeast (a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson), who rocks up with one of his infamous briefcases to shake things up.

Famous faces continue to impact the season off-screen, with players like Rick Devens making reference to a “Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol” while Christian Hubicki informs viewers that late-night host Jimmy Fallon could play a role in determining his fate in the game.

While it remains unclear if Eilish and Fallon – both of whom are avid “Survivor” superfans – will make in-person appearances on “50,” their brief mentions in the trailer suggest that the season’s “In the Hands of the Fans” theme could extend well-beyond the show’s everyday viewers.

After discovering that celebrities will undoubtedly play a role in the milestone season, the trailer appropriately closes on a confessional from Emmy-winning “White Lotus” creator Mike White, who describes his second “Survivor” run as feeling “a little like a high school reunion meets a massacre.”

Jeff Probst Teases ‘Completely Unpredictable’ 50th Season

“This is the most excited I have ever been to launch a new season of ‘Survivor,’” Probst added in an interview with Parade. “Diehard ‘Survivor’ fans are going to love it! Newer fans who’ve only been with us for a few years are going to love it! Families are going to love it! Kids are going to love it! And I really hope people who have never watched ‘Survivor’ will give us a try. Because I genuinely believe if you watch just one episode, you’ll be hooked.”

“That’s how confident I am in what this season delivers,” he continued. “It’s big, it’s fresh, it’s completely unpredictable, it’s emotional, it’s shocking, it’s full of redemption and revenge, or support and betrayals. Ultimately the fans will decide where it ranks, but there is no doubt this will go down as one of the all-time great seasons of ‘Survivor.’”

To watch the so-called “massacre” go down, be sure to tune in to the epic three-hour premiere of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” on Wednesday, February 26 on CBS.

  1. I have enjoyed watching Survivor for more than 20 years and I have to say, if Jimmy Fallon is on the show in 2026, I will never watch the show again (along with several other people I know). It would be a disgrace to the show and what it stands for to invite such a controversial dumpster fire to the show…..you will lose many viewers! What a shame!
