Emmy-winning reality competition series “Survivor” will make history next year as its landmark 50th season welcomes back 24 former players – the series’ largest-ever cast – to compete for another shot at the $1 million grand prize and the coveted title of “Sole Survivor.” In anticipation of the upcoming season, dubbed “In the Hands of the Fans,” long-time series host and executive producer Jeff Probst took to social media on Wednesday (Oct. 8) to announce that a first-of-its-kind official “Survivor” book will be released alongside Season 50 next February.
Titled “Survivor: Forged in Fire,” the book will feature a collection of never-before-seen images, behind-the-scenes stories about the show’s most legendary players, and Probst’s personal diary entries detailing the entirety of “Survivor”s epic 25-year history on CBS.
According to Probst, the oversized book, which will serve as a comprehensive history of the record-breaking survival series, will hit bookstores nationwide on February 24, 2026. “Survivor 50” is similarly slated to premiere in February, though an official release date remains unannounced at this time.

“What’s it like to be on ‘Survivor’? It’s a question millions of people have wondered since ‘Survivor’ debuted on CBS in the summer of 2000 and forever changed television,” reads the book’s official description from publisher Simon & Schuster. “What’s it like to face off in the grueling physical challenges?
