Will Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Survivor 50’ Role be Revealed During Jeff Probst’s Upcoming ‘Tonight Show’ Interview?

The milestone 50th season of “Survivor” is now just days away from making reality TV history, with its unprecedented three-hour primetime premiere episode set to hit CBS screens nationwide on Wednesday, February 25.

While the run-up to the golden anniversary season has seen the hit reality competition series stage massive promotional campaigns like the “Survivor 50 Challenge,” which saw thousands of die-hard fans scouring the country in hopes of unearthing a real-life Hidden Immunity Idol, and the “Road to 50” event, which saw CBS re-air 10 classic “Survivor” episodes featuring the legendary castaways returning to compete on the upcoming installment, longtime host Jeff Probst will take a more intimate approach to promoting the “In the Hands of the Fans” season in the days before its premiere.

Probst will kick things off with daytime interview appearances on talk shows like “Live with Kelly & Mark,” “The Sherri Show” and “CBS Mornings” before joining late-night host Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday, February 24.

While the host/executive producer’s various appearances will undoubtedly feature sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes secrets about casting and staging “Survivor 50,” Probst’s final pre-season appearance on “The Tonight Show” could additionally reveal Jimmy Fallon’s role in the installment.

The first official teaser trailer for “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans,” which aired immediately following the finale of “Survivor 49” in December 2025, revealed that some of the show’s biggest celebrity fans – including the likes of YouTube sensation MrBeast, country singer Zac Brown and Grammy-winner Billie Eilish – would be making potentially game-changing cameos on the upcoming season.

The teaser showed both MrBeast (a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson) and Zac Brown joining the Season 50 castaways for  in-person cameos in Fiji. In the weeks since, Probst has opened up about Billie Eilish’s role in creating the show’s first-ever “Boomerang Idol.”

Joining this season’s cast of celebrity cameos is longtime “Survivor” fan and “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon. Of the four stars name-dropped in the teaser trailer, only Fallon’s role remains a complete mystery in the week leading up to the finale, giving fans reason to believe that it could be revealed during Probst’s final pre-season interview on Fallon’s show.

“Survivor” host Jeff Probst is set to appear on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday, February 24 – the evening before the highly anticipated premiere of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” – alongside “Scream 7” actress Courtney Cox and “Death of Love” singer James Blake.

The episode is set to begin airing on NBC screens nationwide at 11:35pm ET. Based on the billing for the evening’s program, Cox will likely kick things off with a discussion of her return to the longrunning “Scream” franchise for its seventh installment, followed by an interview with Probst that will inevitably revolve around the upcoming “Survivor 50” premiere and Fallon’s secret role in the milestone season.

Blake will wrap up the show with a musical performance, likely pulled from his forthcoming album, “Trying Times,” which is set to release on March 13.
