“Mamma Mia!” star Amanda Seyfried is the latest celebrity to confess she can’t resist reality TV. The actress recently sat down with W magazine, where she admitted that her go-to binge is “The Bachelor” spinoff, “Bachelor in Paradise.”
“Bachelor in Paradise” differs from the original series in that former contestants — typically from the most recent seasons of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” — get a second shot at love at a beachside resort. Complete with rose ceremonies, plenty of competition, and budding romances, it’s no wonder it’s one of Seyfried’s favorite shows to watch.
Amanda Seyfried Reveals Why She’s a Big Fan of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
GettyWith her busy career, no one would have guessed that Amanda Seyfried would make time for reality TV. However, in her interview with W magazine, she revealed that she could always make time for “Bachelor in Paradise.”
“My favorite reality show is the ‘Bachelor in Paradise,’ specifically,” she shared. “The Housemaid” star then explained the layers of the spinoff, noting that it’s more than just messy reality TV; it serves as a reminder of how vulnerable and complex human emotions can be.
“You have these people who have an idea of who they want to date, and then the producers know who wants who. So, they do this puzzle and they set it up like, ‘This person should come in because this person really likes this person, but he also really likes this person, so we’ll bring this person in first. And then this person will come in later and ruin their relationship,” she shared.
Seyfried continued, “Watching people realize how fleeting some things are and how they can have such conviction and then change their minds. It teaches people that many things can be true at once. It’s like a reminder that people just want to be seen and understood.”
BiP Stars React to Seyfried Being a Fan
GettySeyfried’s interview with W magazine quickly made its way to TikTok, where former contestants soon chimed in, thrilled that an A-lister like her was such a huge fan of the show.
The “Bachelor in Paradise” TikTok wrote, “A woman of taste.” Wells Adams, the series’ resident bartender, commented, “Same.”
Recent BiP contestants like Kat Izzo wrote, “omg hi,” while Alexe Godin shared, “Crying hi queen.” Jess Edwards shared, “Wait omg im fangirling,” and Jeremy Simon joked, “I knew she was a fan of me.”
BiP Couples Still Together From Season 10
Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise” included major twists and a brand-new location, with contestants staying in a luxury resort in Costa Rica. Other twists included the integration of contestants from “The Golden Bachelor” and “The Golden Bachelorette,” and for the first time, no new arrivals joined after Week 4, forcing couples to focus on existing relationships, which proved easier said than done for some.
One of the season’s biggest twists was giving couples a chance to compete for a $500,000 cash prize, a change that raised the question of whether contestants were there for love or just to play strategically for the money.
Couples Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer, Jess Edwards and Spencer Conley, made it to the finale, only to face one final twist: choose between love or money. Both couples chose love, with Edwards and Conley getting engaged. Having chosen love, each couple was then allowed to choose envelopes with varying cash prizes.
Godin and Spencer walked away with $125,000, while Conley and Edwards took home $190,000.
In fact, both of these couples are still together today. In addition, Jeremy Simon and Bailey Brown, who did not make it to the finale, are also still dating.
