As season 4 of “Special Forces” kicks off, former competitor — and former Bachelorette — Trista Sutter has given fans a glimpse at her appearance on the reality TV show.
“With a new season, comes old memories,” Sutter wrote in the caption of an Instagram post that also included a video focusing on her time before, during and after the show. “And thanks to @specialforcesfox season 4 starting tonight, I took a stroll. You’ve seen the pics from the show and the press day…heard about the why and the what the heck happened.”
“The behind the scenes, befores and afters were favorited in my photos last year, but never shared,” she wrote. “Today, I share them as a thank you to the casting dept, producers, @foxtv crew, and the DS for showing me another part of our big ol beautiful world. 🙏🏼”
Sutter ‘Learned That [She] Can Do Hard Things’
GettySutter admits that she experienced some regret when she left “Special Forces” behind, however, she was also trying to “be grateful” for what she experienced.
“I learned that I can do hard things if I put my mind to it. And part of me regrets leaving when I did, now that I see everything that they’ve been through,” she told Us Weekly in January.
“But I just keep trying to remind myself how I felt in that moment and that peace that came over me, [how I did] challenge myself with the experience and all the people I met, the camaraderie,” she continued. “I’m trying to be grateful for all that, but it is hard. I would love to wake myself up and be like, ‘Yeah, whatever. Screw that piece. Keep going!'”
Sutter Is ‘Thankful’ She Left When She Did
GettyAlthough Sutter initially battled with regret when withdrawing from the show, she eventually accepted her choice thanks to the fact that the remaining competitors ended up facing increasingly difficult challenges.
“I’m thankful I did leave,” Sutter told USA Today after her departure. She explained why, saying, “Because I didn’t get any broken bones or anything.”
Frankly, she noted that what she did experience was hard enough, especially when compared to other difficulties she’s been through.
“I had a really hard labor. I suffered a seizure some years back. Those experiences were all hard,” Sutter said. “But this was all-encompassing hard — emotionally, physically and spiritually. It pushed me to a place I didn’t think I could go.”
