Ryan Sutter appeared on the first season of “The Bachelorette” which debuted on January 8, 2003. In the years since, social media followers have been able to follow him and see him as a husband to Trista Sutter and father to children, 18-year-old Maxwell and 16-year-old Blakesley. Now, fans can see him with a new look. Ryan has shaved his head and done so for a very good reason.
“Turned 51. Got tired of slowly watching my hair fall out so I cut it all off,” the star wrote on September 15 via Instagram along with a photo showing his new ‘do.
He then revealed he “promptly ensured [he] preserved the day and the experience by immediately taking new passport photos.”
“Over reaction? Maybe,” he noted. “But mainly a simple reaction to a life that was feeling too complex — one in which I was holding on to too much, expecting too much, influenced by too many, losing my sense of self — My identity. My authenticity. My joy.”
“It really shouldn’t be this hard to feel joy or to feel sorrow without condition — for ourselves and one another,” he continued. “It really shouldn’t be that hard to be helpful, useful and supportive. To be kind.”
Ryan Reminds Fans that ‘We’re In This Together’
GettyRyan wasn’t done there — he had a few other points to make in his Instagram post. He wrote, “We are different. We will never be the same. We will never agree with everyone or convince everyone to agree with us.”
“That’s a good thing — if we accept and allow it to be — if we don’t over complicate it — if we simply live and allow others to do the same. Hair or none, we’re in this together. Let’s maybe act like it?”
He also added the hashtags “#simple” and “#liveandletlive.”
Fans Love Ryan’s New Look
GettyWhile it seems like Ryan has embraced his new look, the same could be said for his fans. Indeed, his Instagram followers were more than just a little supportive.
“You are a handsome man no matter what! Happy Birthday,” one person wrote in response to the post. Another person left a comment, saying, “Very handsome inside and out!!”
Others appeared to feel the same and wanted to share their support for Ryan and his decision to shave his head.
“I like the new look! Bravo. Embrace it,” an approving social media follower wrote.
“This is wisdom, maturity and realizing what really matters, in this precious life,” another person added. “I don’t know you but I’m proud of you ❤️”
Still, yet another fan told Ryan: “Wonderful post. Couldn’t agree more. And no disrespect to your wife, but you remain incredibly handsome!!!!!”
