Before Taylor Frankie Paul was a reality star, she rose to prominence as a Mormon influencer on TikTok sharing videos about her family life in Draper, Utah. It’s been a rough few years for “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star as details of her domestic violence charges have been released to the public.
Keep reading for some quick facts about the incident and how it’s affecting her family.
1. Taylor Frankie Paul Married Tate Paul in 2016
Taylor Frankie Paul married Tate Paul in 2016, a relationship that ended following a widely publicized scandal within their Utah Mormon influencer friend group.
In May 2022, Taylor revealed in a now deleted TikTok Live that the separation was largely due to her breach of a “soft-swinging” agreement made with her now ex-husband. She defined the term as an agreement allowing intimacy with others but not going “all the way.”
2. Paul’s Separation From Her Now Ex-Husband
During the reality star’s infamous 2022 TikTok Live she admitted that she violated her and Paul’s agreed-upon boundaries by crossing a line with another man, which led to their divorce.
A month later, Taylor introduced Dakota Mortensen as the man she “cheated with.”
Since their divorce, Tate appears to have gotten remarried and welcomed a third child. He stays out of the public eye, aside from sharing his music on his TikTok and some personal content on his Instagram.
Taylor continued an on-again/off-again relationship with Mortensen. She has since clarified that they are separated “for good” following a domestic violence incident.
3. Mother of 3 Children With 2 Fathers
Taylor shares two children with her ex-husband, Tate Paul and one with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
Her first daughter, Indy was born on Aug. 31, 2017, nine months after her marriage to Tate. She announced her birth the next day with an Instagram post. Ocean, her second child, was welcomed on June 18, 2020.
The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” shares a son with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, Ever True, who was born on March 19, 2024.
4. Domestic Violence Incident With Dakota Mortensen Involving Daughter Indy
On March 19 TMZ released a 2023 video showing the MomTok creator hitting and throwing chairs at her now ex-boyfriend Dakota. Indy was present during Taylor’s physical outburst.
She was arrested on multiple charges including domestic violence in the presence of a child. Most of the charges would be dropped following her guilty plea of aggravated assault. According to PEOPLE, police have confirmed that there is an open domestic assault investigation involving Mortensen and Paul, adding that “allegations have been made in both directions.”
5. Co-Parenting
Mortensen has been granted temporary custody of their son, Ever. The arrangement was made after a protective order against Paul was granted. A representative for Dakota Mortensen has stated that he “wants to co-parent well,” and that “his number one priority here is protecting [their 2-year-old son].”
Despite the scandalous split from her ex-husband, the two have maintained a “very healthy” co-parenting relationship and remain friends. However, since the release of the domestic violence video, Paul has also filed a protective order against Taylor.

Why didn’t the producers on the Bachelorette show check her out before signing her on??
She had been married two times and divorced and had 3 kids, how could she even qualify to be a Bachelorette?? The show better get more qualified people to check out the person they decide to have be the Bachelorette before they put her on all the ads. The show is going downhill fast. I have watched it from the beginning of the show. It has been terrible since Chris Harrison was fired, they made a big mistake.
I disagreed with that choice right from the beginning. How could a man be interested in such a flawed character except to have the opportunity to be on the show and be part of the Bachelor World thereafter.
He is a gas lighter and not a vary good person we all can see he is toxic all the way around
