Bachelor Favorite Reveals Why He Hasn’t Popped the Question to His Girlfriend Yet

When it comes to Bachelor couples, viewers are used to seeing their relationships move quite fast. In just one season of the show, couples go from meeting one another for the first time, falling in love, and, if everything goes according to plan, getting engaged by the end of it.

For Tyler Cameron, however, he’s trying his best to take his time with his girlfriend, Tate Madden. In a new video for their “Under Construction” series on YouTube, Cameron, who was a fan-favorite in Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette,” got candid about some hiccups and miscommunications that led to him waiting to pop the question.

Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden Disagreed on How to Ring Shop

In the video, the couple, who have been together since 2023, addressed fans’ burning question about their engagement head-on.

“Here’s what happened,” Cameron started. “So I always thought you were supposed to kind of snoop around, like look at the Pinterest, look at the computer and see what she’s been searching to find out what she wants. And then we got into an argument one time and then she’s like, ‘You never ask me to go ring shopping,’ so then I was like, ‘Well, let’s go ring shopping.'”

Madden then revealed that, to her, Cameron hadn’t expressed any interest in engagement rings before, or for finding out her preferences. Once Cameron offered, however, she thought it was something she’d want to do with her sister and family instead.

“I never said you didn’t ask me to go ring shopping, first off,” she clarified. “I said, ‘You’ve never even asked me what ring I would like.’ Like, do I have an idea of what ring I would like. Which you would think, as I always see him say to everyone, ‘Soon, soon, soon.’ Well, clearly not that soon because you’ve never even asked me what kind of ring I liked.”

Tate Madden Has a Reason Why She Wants to Get Married Soon

While Cameron insisted that he has plans of getting down on one knee “soon,” the couple got candid about why they’re pressed about the timeline.

“I just really want to have babies and he wants like a million and I would really like to be married first,” Madden explained.

To Cameron, however, it doesn’t really matter if they have kids with rings on their fingers or not. “You want me to have your babies, but you’re not excited to marry me?” she asked, to which Cameron explained that he thinks it’s smart to “start knocking the kids out” because they’re on a “time crunch.”

Despite the disagreements, it seems the two will be reaching the relationship milestone soon enough. “I will love anything,” Madden said when asked for more details on the ring. “You could get me a ring pop at this point, and I’d be fired up.”

Currently, in addition to renovating their own home, Cameron is also hosting “Bachelor Mansion Takeover” with former “Bachelorette” star Tayshia Adams.
