Following the news of Norris’ passing, Danilee took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message alongside a carousel of photos capturing special moments between the two.

“I don’t think grief is a good enough word to describe the emotions my family and I are going through right now… losing a parent is something that you are never prepared for,” she wrote.
Danilee reflected on the bond she shared with her father, calling him her “protector” from the very beginning. “My dad was my protector the moment I was born and as soon as he took me in his arms, I’ve been his little girl,” she shared, adding that even as she grew older, that connection never faded.

“He may have a warrior exterior, but his heart was so full of love,” she wrote, crediting both her parents for passing that kindness down to her.

“He has been my safe person… and I am constantly filled with gratitude for how much wisdom and love he has bestowed me and my brother,” she wrote.
