It’s been four years since the world lost beloved TV dad Bob Saget. To mark the date, his former “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier took to Instagram to share a special message dedicated to his late friend.
Sharing a series of photos of Coulier and Saget over the years, the shots also included other friendly figures, including “Full House” alum John Stamos, Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure.
Coulier Wrote a Special Message for Saget
In the caption of Coulier’s Instagram post, he shared a heartfelt — and heartwrenching — message dedicated to his late friend.
“4 years ago today, John Stamos called me and told me that Bob Saget died,” Coulier wrote. “I didn’t know how to react or process such devastating news. I cried. That’s all I could do.”
“I felt so helpless as the stark reality hit me — there would no longer be those crazy funny voicemails from Bob that would go on for many minutes, making me laugh for the rest of my day,” he continued. “Me, John and Bob would no longer get to be The Three Stooges or laugh so hard that we had to leave the room.”
He went on to write, “The world lost my brother 4 years ago. Sometimes I still pick up my phone and want to call to tell him something funny or how much I love him. Our relationship was funny, silly, stupid, immature and filled with love.”
Coulier ended his message by writing, “I have no one else like Bob in my life, but he’s given me such great memories for the rest of it. To say that I miss him is an understatement. To say to the world about how much I loved him is exactly what Bob would’ve wanted. I love you Bob. ❤️”
Coulier’s Followers Left Supportive Comments
GettyAlong with Coulier’s message for the friend he lost, his Instagram followers also left comments regarding Saget, Coulier and the pair’s relationship.
One person wrote, “What a special gift it was to have had a friend like that!!!”
“I’m so sorry @dcoulier, the loss you are feeling. I don’t think it gets any easier as we age. I think we have to think positive, that you were lucky to have known & loved him,” another person added.
A third follower wrote, “I just LOVE your brother bond amongst each other! It just shows how much love there was and STILL is! ❤️”
Someone else left a comment, saying, “4 years ago, how has it been that long? I loved watching Bob on tv growing up!”
