Winning “American Idol” in 2025 has truly been life-changing for Jamal Roberts. In the nine months since a record-breaking 26 million votes were cast during the finale, he has toured the U.S. with R&B greats Monica and Brandy, earned his first Grammy nomination, and performed on some of the biggest TV events, from the BET Awards to the NCAA’s championship football game.
All of that professional success has led the season 23 winner to a pretty incredible personal milestone: purchasing a beautiful new home with some of his earnings. And his “American Idol” family couldn’t be happier for him.
Jamal Roberts Calls His Home Purchase ‘Mind-Blowing’
On February 23, Roberts posted two photos of himself on the front steps of his new home holding a “SOLD” sign.
The soulful singer, whose most recent single is called “Head Up,” wrote in the caption, “Mind-blowing! 🤯 God keeps blowing my mind, man. #headup #GoingHigher”
Roberts did not provide specific details about his new abode, including whether it’s in his hometown of Meridian, Mississippi. But his photos revealed it’s a large, traditional, white brick home with a porch that features white columns, black trim over curved windows, and pretty landscaping.
Roberts’ manager, Carlton Cofield, shared Roberts’ post in his Stories and wrote, “GOD never fails … 28 years old and a massive New House … JAMAL ROBERTS”

GettyRoberts’ “American Idol” family was thrilled about his home purchase. His post received likes from “Idol” alums like Jennifer Hudson and James Durbin, fellow season 23 finalists Breanna Nix and Slater Nalley, and even current season 24 contestants including Philmon Lee and Chris Tungseth.
Season 23 contestant Canaan James Hill wrote, “Congratulations Brother 💯🤩🙏🏾🥳”
Fellow singer Sophia Perez King wrote, “Smart brother! God ain’t done yet! Generational wealth 🏘️… 🎶 is just a plus 🎂 praying for u & Da fam. Generational curses being broke off…🙏🏽”
And fans flooded Roberts’ post on Instagram and Facebook with accolades, including one who wrote, “Beautiful journey!! The best is yet too come!! Congratulations ❤️”
Another commented, “Congratulations, absolutely Beautiful . Many continued Blessings to you Jamal in Jesus name”
Jamal Roberts Has Been All Over the U.S. in Recent Days
Roberts has been too busy lately to enjoy his new home. In the last several days alone, he’s shared via social media that he attended a black tux event in Beverly Hills, California, then jetted off to Orlando for another appearance.
Next up, he’s in Chicago to host the Soar Awards on March 2, where he’ll reunite with fellow season 23 contestants Kolbi Jordan, Victor Solomon, Roman Collins and Hill.
