Jennifer Lopez Broke Down Marc Anthony Split in 2014 ‘Dance Again’ Documentary

In her 2014 documentary “Dance Again,” JLo spoke about her split from Marc Anthony. The pair announced their breakup in 2011, and finalized their divorce in 2014. Lopez explained in the doc, “That wasn’t my dream. My dream was for us to always be together. You never wanna break up a family.”

In a heart-tugging scene, one of Lopez’s twin children, Emme, showed a red heart trinket and said, “This is so I can remember my daddy. I’m not going to be with him anymore.” Lopez said, “It hurt me to see them miss him so much.”

Lopez’s sister, Lynda Lopez, also spoke in the film about the breakup, saying, “I know it was pretty devastating to her, to have her marriage end. To have, really what she had always wanted, come apart. Not be what she dreamed it would be, and wanted it to be.”
