‘American Idol’ 2026 Spoilers: Jordan McCullough DWTS Crossover Performance [VIDEO]

Besides the duet performances on “American Idol” season 24 tonight on ABC, we had a crossover with “Dancing With the Stars.” Some of the “DWTS” pro dancers were in attendance tonight as the Top 5 on “American Idol” 2026 performed. Jordan McCullough was one of those Top 5 singers, and he performed for the first time on “American Idol” 2026 tonight. Check out the Jordan McCullough performance video from tonight below in our “American Idol” spoilers.

DWTS Crossover Performance

Jordan said it’s going to take everything in him not to start dancing with the pros tonight. He is dedicating this one to his little brothers. Jordan will be singing “Footprints in the Sand” by Leona Lewis. He has Witney Carson and Gleb Savchenko performing with him. This was a big song, and his voice carried it. He makes you feel those lyrics, and he nailed it.

For the judges, Lionel said let the congregation say, Amen. Paula said she loves him. It’s not normal, and she makes her question her own existence. Carrie said he’s the perfect example of not overdoing it. He sings with his own body, and we feel that. Luke said no one has made him this big of a believer than him. I see such a bright future for you.

Last Week’s Taylor Swift Performance

For his Taylor Swift performance, he sang “Tim McGraw.” This was a chance to show a little different side of him. It’s more subtle than some of his other performances, but he has those moments where he can show off his range and vocals. I really enjoyed it. It was less, but it was definitely more.

For the judges, Lionel said that is the way to put some barbecue sauce on Taylor Swift. That was well done, and he just loved that. Carrie said he has the smoothest, most incredible voice. Week after week, he proves he can sing anything. He sounds beautiful on everything. Nikki said she is so grateful that she got to hear him sing live. That was so fun. Luke said he didn’t see him picking that song choice, but he did a great job with it.

Last Week’s California Song Performance on ‘American Idol’

For his second performance last week, he sang “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt. What can’t Jordan sing? He is great at picking songs and just singing the heck out of them. He showed off a great range here. Hitting huge notes, but then going soft for some high notes. He has such control of his voice and that note towards the end. I mean, come on! This man is a star and a favorite, that’s for sure.

For the judges, Lionel said I have heard that song a long time. You got me crying on that song I’ve heard a long time. Your delivery was right on point. Let the congregation say, Amen! Carrie said she doesn’t care what he sings; every time he opens his mouth, she hears the Holy Spirit. He has one of the best voices she has ever heard in her entire life. Your soft parts are soft and intimate, and his big notes are soaring and beautiful. Nikki said there were moments I had to close my eyes to just get showered in the music. That was so special, and that was awesome. Luke said the whole time, I was thinking I had to sing in a little bit to follow that. There were notes he hit that fixed his spinal curvature.

What did you think of Jordan’s DWTS crossover performance on “American Idol” tonight?
