Longtime socialite, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ alum and media personality Perez Hilton took to Instagram on Saturday, March 21, to share a round of ghastly photos from his hospital bed after undergoing surgery. He also shared a video, thanking the hospital staff at Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, for taking incredible care of him.
In one post, the 47-year-old shared a 9-photo Instagram carousel with images that included him in distress as he was hooked up to an oxygen mask. Other images show the social media star’s scars on his abdomen from undergoing a certain surgery that he has not yet revealed.

Some of the shared images also featured Hilton as his mom, Teresita Lavandeira, held his hand by his bedside. He was also given balloons from loved ones that said “Get Well Soon.”
“March madness indeed! Have I got a story to tell!” he captioned his post.
Fans and colleagues of Hilton expressed their shock in the comments. While some questioned what exactly happened, others wished him well in his recovery process.
“Oh no!!!! I hope you get well soon!” wrote one.
“Sending you all the healing and good vibes my friend ❤️❤️,” said another.
“PEREZ!!!!! please tell us you’re ok!” exclaimed a third.

GettyHilton, who starred in “Celebrity Big Brother UK” in 2015, shared a second Instagram post on the same day he revealed he underwent surgery. In the video, which showed him in a weakened state, Hilton did a voiceover to explain a bit about what’s going on.
“Hello my fram! Before I tell you all this saga that I went through soon in full detail, I wanted to share something very important,” he said.
“When I moved to Las Vegas three years ago, I heard horror stories about the healthcare here. But I need to let everybody know that I went to Southern Hills Hospital and I received the best care there,” Hilton continued. “Everybody was amazing. And I just have to thank, especially, my doctors… But even more importantly, I need to thank the nurses, the superstars: Riley, Ed, Bella, Wayne, Sweet Emily and Dear Christine. Thank you all.”
“And also thank you to the Filipino community. So many of my nurses were Filipino — I love you all,” he added. “And I thank you all so much, every single person at Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas.”
