Dolly Parton loved to escape to one picture-perfect California town so much that she purchased a home.
The late Queen of Country owned a quaint cottage in the small Danish town of Solvang, California, from 2004 to 2014. The singer’s modest retreat is currently listed for sale as the world mourns the “I Will Always Love You” singer.
Dolly’s Dollhouse
The adorable Santa Barbara County home formerly owned by the late singer is available for $1.995 million.
The house boasts seven bedrooms and six bathrooms across its 2,500 square feet.
Located in the heart of downtown Solvang, there is an idyllic windmill decorating the front yard.
“This is also the same property known as Dolly Parton’s former Solvang retreat, and it is exactly the kind of asset multi generational families and income focused buyers wish they found first,” the property listing states. “What makes this one truly irreplaceable is the story built into the walls.”
While she has not owned the home for more than a decade, Dolly’s footprint is still all over the home. Her original “wig room” remains untouched, which the listing calls “a rare, documented piece of cultural history that no other listing in the Santa Ynez Valley can offer.” A stained glass window baring the name “Dolly” with a colorful butterfly still shines above the red front door.

Dolly Parton’s Passing
Dolly’s family announced her passing with a touching video, as the singer requested years before her death.

Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.”
It was later revealed that Dolly suffered from cancer and died after a brief battle with the disease.
The “9 to 5” artist also requested that a “small, private service be held for immediate family.” The world mourns the beloved singer for her kindness, generosity, and charm.
“My family and I have shared a lifetime of beautiful memories with Dolly. But so have you,” her nephew shared in his social media announcement. “She has always been on your television, your record player, your CD and on your phone’s playlist, becoming an extended part of your family whether you liked it or not.”
Dolly — who was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean — was 80 years old.
