SEE INSIDE: ‘Friends’ Actor Selling ‘Extraordinary’ Austin Home for $1.7 Million

You might recognize Tate Donovan as Rachel’s boyfriend, Joshua, on “Friends,” or as Jimmy Cooper from “The O.C.” However, residents of a certain neighborhood in Austin, Texas, know him as their neighbor. Granted, that will change if he manages to offload the home he’s selling for just under $1.7 million.

Donovan and his wife, Corry Scheuerman, put the property “on the market on March 19 with an asking price of $1.89 million,” according to Realtor.com. “Days later, that ask was lowered by $200,000 to $1.69 million.”

Realtor.com notes that due to the fact that “Texas is a nondisclosure state, it’s not known exactly how much the couple paid for the home, which they purchased in January 2016, however its previous listing prices suggest that they stand to earn a significant profit on the sale, should they find a buyer willing to pay close to their latest ask.”

The Home Was ‘Designed for Both Comfort and Entertaining’

Spanning 3,629 square feet and featuring four bedrooms as well as four bathrooms, “the home unfolds in a layout designed for both comfort and entertaining,” according to the Austin Luxury Group listing. “Expansive living with high ceilings and beautiful coffered wood accents, allowing natural light to pour through windows that frame views of the surrounding landscape and patio spaces.”

“The chef’s kitchen features abundant medium-toned wood cabinetry, light quartz countertops, and a center island that becomes the heart of the home,” the listing notes, while adding that a “casual bar seating area and charming breakfast alcove create the perfect setting for everyday gatherings.”

When residents of the home want to retire for the night, they’ll find the primary suite — along with a private office — in “their own quiet wing of the home,” the listing explains. “A separate wing offers three spacious bedrooms and two full baths, along with generous entertaining areas ideal for hosting family and guests.”

The Exterior of the Home Is Just as Impressive

“Tucked quietly into one of Austin’s most coveted estate-style neighborhoods, this extraordinary residence offers the rare feeling of a private Hill Country retreat while remaining just minutes from the heart of the city,” the listing tells potential buyers.

With a “timeless Texas limestone facade, rich wood beams, and refined architectural detailing” that “create[s] an unmistakable sense of understated luxury,” the listing points out that the exterior of the home also boasts a “welcoming porch” that “introduces a home defined by craftsmanship.”

As for the property, the listing says the “backyard centerpiece is a stunning 80 foot long lap pool, designed for those who truly appreciate swimming as a daily ritual. Flanked by limestone terraces and surrounded by the beauty of the landscape, it transforms the backyard into a private wellness retreat” that backs onto “the natural beauty of woods and a creek.”
