Jelly Roll is embracing a whole new chapter — and a whole new look — as he continues celebrating his incredible 200-plus–pound weight loss.
Jelly Roll Gets a Fresh New Look
According to Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo, the “Son of a Sinner” artist has not had a clean-shaven face in more than a decade. What better time than now?
“I have been with my husband for going on 10 years now, and I have never seen this man without his facial hair,” Bunnie said in a video shared via Instagram on Thursday, November 13. “You guys know as women we get catfished, because we don’t know what the hell’s under there.”
Jelly, 40, joked that he might need plastic surgery for the loose skin left behind after losing weight.
“We know we’re gonna have to get some skin cut here, but we’re trying to see if a face lift might be in order,” he said, tugging at his neck.
Bunnie’s reaction to her freshly-shaved husband was positive…mostly.
“Oh my god! Baby, it looks really good,” she said as he paused his shave halfway through to show her what he’d look like with a goatee. “Oh my god, the cop ‘stash is fire.”
Shortly after, however, Jelly — real name Jason DeFord — shaved it completely.
“The total naked face…it’s not terrible,” Bunnie said before bursting out laughing.
Fans Are Loving Jelly Roll’s Transformation
The country singer has lost more than 200 pounds through his journey, weighing in at under 300 pounds for the first time in his adult life.
“I got fat, like, really, really young. I was over 300 pounds coming out of middle school. I’m gonna be under 300 pounds for the first time since middle school the night I walk to that ring at SummerSlam,” he told Stephanie McMahon on her “What’s Your Story?” podcast earlier this year.
Bunnie wasn’t the only one raving about her man’s new look as fans took to the comment section to gush over the slimmed-down star.
“You are THE most supportive woman on the planet. Everyone should take a note from you,” one follower praised the “Dumb Blonde” podcast host.
“Dudeeee he looks amazing, respectfully!!!” a second fan wrote.
“Handsome no matter what (beautiful couple) but a goatee is a happy middle area,” another shared.
