Nearly 20 years after first making their debut in their own television film, “Camp Rock,” the Jonas Brothers have returned for “Camp Rock 3.”
In the years since the film made its 2008 debut, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas have grown up right along with their audience. Today, stepping into fatherhood has given them a new outlook on their legacy, and it’s precisely what drew them back to the movie that launched their careers, giving those classic roles a deeper, far more emotional meaning today.

However, according to a new interview with People Magazine, they claimed the reason they revisited the “Camp Rock” series again was to make a project they could share with their children.
“I think that as parents, [in the] last couple years, we’ve been so thrilled to get to partner with Disney on a bunch of different projects,” said Nick Jonas. “I think that we’re trying to bring things into the world that we can share with our kids and that we can experience as a family.”
He added, “And when we look at our shows, what we’re seeing is that multi-generational effect of people that were our age in their teens, who are now adults with their own kids, bringing them to shows. And I think the same thing will happen with this. It’s got such a wonderful place in our hearts, and the memories we have attached to it are so real to this day. So to get to bring that to life in a whole new way with this incredibly talented young cast will be really special.”
Kevin Jonas Saw The Effect Disney Stars Have on His Own Daughters
The eldest Jonas brother, Kevin, saw firsthand the effect Disney stars can have on young girls when he watched “Camp Rock 3” with his two daughters, Alena, 12, and Valentina, 9.
“It’s really incredible. I just watched it the other night with our girls [and wife Danielle Jonas], and they were very excited,” says Kevin. “A little too excited when Malachi [Barton] got on screen, but we’re not going to talk about that right now.”
Joe Jonas is also a father of two. He co-parents his daughters, Delphine, 4, and Willa, 6, with former “Game of Thrones” star and ex-wife Sophie Turner. Nick Jonas is a father of one daughter, Malti Marie, 4, with wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
“Camp Rock 3” premieres Aug. 13 on Disney Channel and streams the next day on Disney+. The Jonas Brothers and former “Camp Rock” co-star Demi Lovato reprise their roles as Connect 3’s Jason, Nate, and Shane Gray and Mitchie Torres in the film’s third installment. All serve as executive producers.
