Buddy Valastro Gets His Son in the Kitchen
On Monday, January 12, Valastro posted two photos on Instagram of himself and Buddy Jr. The pictures show them baking, more specifically, Valastro appears to be piping something. Learning to bake is a skill he learned from his own father, and in the second photo, Valastro shared a throwback of himself as a young man in the bakery, learning the ropes with his dad.
In the caption, Valastro shared his thoughts. “Got Jr. in the kitchen today working on his skills and technique piping flowers. Moments like these really take me back to when I was in his shoes, learning from my father,” he wrote. Fans left supportive messages in the comment section, “keep the dream and spirit alive bravo!!” a comment reads. “You are a great example,” another person shared.
All About Buddy Valastro’s Son Buddy Jr.
Valastro and his wife, Lisa, married in 2001, and they have four children. Their daughter Sofia was born in 2003, and their son Buddy Jr. was born in 2004. The couple later welcomed their third child, Marco, in 2007, and their fourth, Carlo, in 2011.
Buddy is a proud dad, and when he shares photos of himself and his kids on Instagram, it gives a welcome glimpse into their lives.
Buddy Jr. is a hockey player, but he is also interested in the family business. “My son is struggling with deciding if he wants to go to college or not,” Valastro told People in 2023, when his son was a senior. “He’s a senior this year, so he wants to just come into the business, which we’re back and forth on that.”

I really am excited to see the next generation take over,” he said. “But I never want to force them. I want them to do it because they love it.” Of all Valastro’s kids, it is Buddy Jr, who is “he most determined — will never give up,” the baker shared.
