‘Next Level Chef’ Star Opens Up About Twin Pregnancy Struggles: ‘Broke A Few Ribs’

Tineke “Tini” Younger, the popular social media chef who competed on the second season of Gordon Ramsay‘s “Next Level Chef,” got real in a vulnerable video about the health struggles she is experiencing while pregnant with twins. The 24-year-old finished in eighth place in the cooking competition, which aired in 2023, before going on to host her own show, “From Scratch With Tini,” on Ramsay’s YouTube channel, Bite Originals.

Prior to competing on “Next Level Chef,” Younger was already a popular TikTok star with a follower count in the millions. She married her boyfriend, who was frequently featured in her viral videos, in November 2024. Now with twins on the way, she’s bravely staying positive while opening up to fans about a painful pregnancy complication that forced her to take a brief step back from making videos. Read on for details.

Tini Younger Said One Twin Baby Is Stuck Under Her Rib, But She’s Determined to Keep Cooking

In a TikTok video she shared September 14, Younger explained to her fans why her fall recipe lineup is slightly delayed. “Don’t worry, they are coming,” she said, before going on, “Just a quick little health update, because I’m in pain and I have not been able to stand for longer than five minutes. Baby B has lodged herself fully under my ribcage and I’m 99.9% sure broke a few ribs.”

The social media revealed it was the “worst pain” she’d ever felt, before continuing, “It feels like I’m being stabbed. I can’t stand. My back feels like it’s being stabbed, so I have to lay on my side.” Despite the pain, she said she’s planning to soldier on and get content up for her fans as soon as possible.

“Don’t worry, we’re gonna get the mac and cheese this year. We’re gonna get the turkey. We’re gonna get everything this year. Just give me a few days. I need to rest, and then we’ll be back to the cooking,” she assured everyone.

Tini Younger Previously Talked About Appearing on “Next Level Chef”

In a June 2024 feature, People reported the Frederick, Maryland native called the competition “the best learning experience ever. She added, “I used the show as my internship. I could literally just ask them, ‘How do I cook this?’ and they would tell me. I learned how to make frog legs, ostrich, cow tongue, I learned how to break down a lobster.”

She said Gordon Ramsay personally asked her, “Do you want to have your own series on our YouTube channel called Bit Originals?” She added that he has stayed in touch and continued to support her. Last September, she thanked the famous chef for saving her birthday by securing a reservation for her and her friends at his Lucky Cat restaurant after previous plans turned into “a disappointment.” She said the sushi boxes, porterhouse, and more dishes the group was presented with completely turned their disastrous vacation around.
