Cacao Pods Mystify Justin Warner
In a 123-second video uploaded to the official Food Network Instagram account, Justin Warner gives a great insight into working as the sideline reporter on “Tournament of Champions: All-Star Christmas” by answering a series of viewer questions.
The first question Warner answered was, “Hardest part about being a floor reporter?” He answer by saying the toughest aspect of his role was keeping track of what’s going on.
Next, Warner was asked, “What ingredient or tool has stumped you?” To that one, he answered “cacao pods,” saying there are only two recipes on the internet that tell you how to use them, calling them “a head scratcher.”
Then, he answered, “Do you feel pressure presenting the judges?” Warner said he did, but because he puts pressure on himself, not because of the judges or chefs he’s presenting for.
“How hard is it not to slip and say the chef’s name?” was the next question, and Warner answered in straightforward fashion saying it wasn’t difficult.
Finally, he was asked, “Is it a blessing or a curse that the contestants do not know the judges?” Warner answered that it was a blessing, saying you’re doing yourself a disservice if you try to pander to a particularly judge because you know who they are and what they’re about.
