Who’s the Boss?
Last week on “Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the States,” Chef Ramsay put the seven remaining chefs to a series of challenges. Up for grabs? Black jackets! This was a huge night, as five jackets were handed out, and now we have an all-female final five.
For tonight, the chefs will be back in the kitchen for dinner service. It looks like they will be forgetting how to count now that they have the black jackets. The fight to be named the winner of “Hell’s Kitchen” season 24 continues tonight. Follow along with our Live Recap below!

Aftermath Drama
Cydni is not happy after being nominated last episode. She has some words with Lisa, so will this boil over to the next challenge?
New Challenge on ‘Hell’s Kitchen’
The chefs are carted off to a market where they are greeted by the sous chefs, Michelle and James. For this challenge, they will be able to shop for any ingredients they want to make any dish they want. However, they will only have 10 minutes to shop and have $25 to spend.
The chefs do their shopping, and all manage to get the ingredients they want for under $25. Back in the kitchen, Chef Ramsay said Michelle forgot to tell them something. They were shopping, but shopping for someone else! So, all of the ingredients they picked out were going to someone else:
- Ellie gets Lisa’s ingredients
- Lisa gets Jada’s ingredients
- Jada gets Cydni’s ingredients
- Cydni gets Ellie’s ingredients
Chef Ramsay said great chefs have to adapt, so now they have 45 minutes to create a dish with the ingredients they have now. The chefs are struggling, but the time runs out, and time for the tasting.
Tasting & Results
Time for Chef Ramsay to taste the dishes. He is joined by Chef Stephanie Izard for the tasting. For this challenge, the first chef will go sit on the throne once their dish is tasted. The next dish will come up, if that dish is better than the previous dish, they will go to the throne and replace them. The last chef to be sitting on the throne wins this challenge. Here we go:
- Jada – They said the crust is Mediterranean-inspired. It’s a little dry, but so fresh and light.
- Ellie – They said so many great flavors. She made it look elegant for shrimp and grits. They like her dish more, so she takes a seat at the throne!
- Cydni – They said it’s seasoned very well and has a nice crust on the outside. They love the puree. Ellie’s dish was better, so she stays on the throne.
- Lisa – They said it looks beautiful, and the chicken is cooked beautifully. The sauce has so much flavor. The chicken makes her whole mouth happy.
Despite that positive feedback for Lisa, they keep Ellie in the throne, and she wins the challenge tonight. For winning, she is going on the ultimate shopping spree. She gets a $1,000 gift card to Kitch, and they get to go to the S&P Oyster Bar to eat with Chef Michelle. She gets to bring one chef, and picks Cydni.
The losing chefs have to clean out the kitchen and the pans, as Ellie and Cydni head out for shopping. They then get to enjoy dinner with Chef Michelle.
Final Four Dinner Service
For this dinner service, they will all be working their stations. In addition, they will each get a turn working the pass. Chef Ramsay will have his team work to give them obstacles while on the pass to see if they notice them and pass his tests.
Jada is up first at the pass. To test her, Chef Ramsay switches the past in one of the pans. Jada catches it and sends it back. She then gets a ticket with an extra entree order, which she also catches. The final test is that the puree for the scallops was switched, which she caught.
Now it’s time for Cydni to run the pass. Her first test on “Hell’s Kitchen” season 24 was that the salmon was switched with trout, which she actually didn’t catch. She then got the next two right, which were peas being switched for edamame and another fish being switched.
Now it’s time for Lisa to run the pass. Her first sabotage was switching the lobster with a large shrimp in the risotto. She caught this one. For the second sabotage, they switched the peas with edamame again, but Lisa missed this one. For the final test, he switched the N.Y. strip with ribeye. She knew something was off, but decided they were perfect and tried to plate them before Chef Ramsay stopped her.
The final chef to take the pass is Ellie. For her first test, he replaces the scallops with mushrooms. Ellie caught them. The next sabotage is a bad ticket, which she catches when she is reading to the chefs. She needs to read it before and not confuse everyone. For the final test, Chef Ramsay again switched the N.Y. strip with a ribeye. She catches this one.
Anticipation & Waiting
Chef Ramsay said he is going to analyze everything from tonight and all season to determine who goes home tonight. The chefs then head back to the dorms, so some time for drama.
They are calling each other out on their weaknesses. They all have critiques, but it doesn’t get as ugly as I thought it would.
Results on ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Season 24
The final four chefs go back in front of Chef Ramsay. In the “Battle of the States,” we are down to California, North Carolina, Nevada, and Florida. Now Chef Ramsay gives them each a chance to tell him why they deserve a spot in the Final 3.
Chef Ramsay said this is tough, but the first chef advancing to the Final 3 is Cydni. He said she has improved the most. The next chef advancing to the Final 3 is Jada. That means we are down to Ellie and Lisa.
The final spot goes to Ellie, which means that Lisa has been eliminated from the competition tonight. He said her command of the kitchen tonight didn’t rise to the level of the other three behind her. He doesn’t want her jacket, though, and his doors always open. However, she will be going home.
